Seagate IronWolf Pro, 8 TB, Enterprise NAS Internal HDD –CMR 3.5 Inch, SATA 6 Gb/s, 7,200 RPM, 256 MB Cache for RAID Network Attached Storage (ST8000NT001)

I am giving for stars mostly for the support I got from Amazon customer service regarding my order. I bought two 12TB drives on the 23rd nov during the sale period. I got them on the 15th Dec. I was traveling during that time, but when I got home, I installed them right away in my brand new NAS. Unfortunately only one worked without a problem. The other one was spinning but was not loading and reading nothing. I tried to put in intro a PC and also a 3.5 sata adapter and connected to a laptop. The same problem-it wasn't readable. Luckly amazon customer service undarstood the problem and gave me a refund. I bought a WD drives this time.

two our four HDDs that I received had controller-level failure. I inserted them in my brand-new QNAP and I received I/O error. tried many solutions but the error is there and I had to return the two of them. maybe the reason is that it was shipped from US to UAE using DHL post. but anyhow, I faced a 50% failure

i ordered 2 units, unfortunately one of them wasnt working, packing was not good for this kind of sensitive items

I attached this directly to my QNAP TR-004 DAS, it was ok from the start but after few weeks it starts showing some warning signs on my QNAP software. The problem is there's no way to fix it but to change the drive, but because i bought this online, there's no way to exchange this after few weeks of using. As a user of NAS/DAS, this is a big "no recommendation" for me.

This was one of the drives I returned. I ordered 5 x 8TB drives. The 1st and 2nd came good, 3rd one has some bad sectors but it’s ok I accepted. The 4th one was simply not running. So I returned this item and ordered a 5th one to replace it, it also was defective. So: 3 out of 5 drives - I would normally give 3 stars, but I can’t because of the disappointment and waiting . So 2 stars because atleast the first 2 were perfect and the 3rd was just ok.

When I installed the unit it gave reading of only 14 TB

Lo esperado para una marca reconocida de soportes de almacenamiento. Un modelo orientado a sistemas NAS. En comparación con otros discos orientados a estos tipos de sistemas es bastante más ruidoso, pero si lo que buscas es arañar algo de velocidad de transferencia sin dejarte un dineral en discos SSD es probablemente de las mejores opciones a día de hoy en relación calidad precio. Si lo que quieres es un silencio sepulcral, no es tu disco, desde luego. En ese caso optaría por la version SSD u otro HDD de otro fabricante (aunque probablemente tenga una velocidad de giro menor y sea mas 'lento').

Got my drives verified from segate, no problem

Llegó un poco antes de lo esperado y funcionando de forma perfecta desde entonces. El nivel de ruido es un poco más bajo que mi anterior modelo que era un Western Digital Red Plus

Buenas, despues de haberlos probado a fondo los tengo montados en dos nas de 8 bahías y he de decir que no me han dado problema alguno, el ruido esta correcto teniendo en cuenta que hay 16 disco en marcha. La rapidez de acceso muy bien, la tasa de lectura y escritura correcta.Todos los discos que compro ya son de este modelo UN SALUDO PAKKO
