As good if not better than original unit - *UPDATED*
I just wanted to post an update after 1 year.The charger stopped charging through my base port on my Surface Book. I can detach the screen and charge the screen but not the base. My original Microsoft charger can still charge through the base port and I also verified this by testing it with other co-workers that have Surface Books. Rather strange failure but annoying so I will have to purchase another one hopefully one that lasts more than a year. (the USB charge port still works)------------The charger works, the magnetic connector is just as strong if not stronger than the original. Everything looks to be of the same quality as the original. I have high hopes for this charger and hope it lasts.if it fails I will update this review.

You get what you pay for
It works fine for as long as it works. It is a better option than the MS version at $100. But having to buy one 3 times a year is pretty tiresome. I would be happy if it lasted a year before needing to be replaced

Works well, just be careful as it has a tendency to run very hot under heavy usage.

If you do the registry modifications to let the cpu run at advertised.. with the stock lesser wattage charger, the unit actually will discharge slowly.. cuz it can't charge fast enough. This one stops that, and actually feels a tad better in terms of build quality. It's also longer which is dope.

Quits working after about 6mo
I have purchased 3 of these and all 3 have quit working after about 6mo. The original Microsoft one that came with my surface is still working years later. I bought these to have a charger on my desk so I could leave my original one at home and not need to carry it to work everyday.

The cable is a bit sturdier than other brands. Because Microsoft's original design tends to cause the cables to bend and cease working, this is an important feature that the Weeten has overcome.
