Follow the instructions on the bag and you will have no problems. It took me two charging cycles within the first week to get the humidity down to where I wanted it (50%) your results will of course depend on your conditions. A charging cycle is 16 hours at 245 like it says on the bag. That sounds like a lot, but this is a honking big bag of clay, so it really isn't overkill. So if you buy this and think it is going to get your conditions perfect within 24 hours, you may be holding on to some unreasonable expectations. It will depend on your specific conditions. A small safe in a relatively dry environment to begin with may be all set an hour after putting it in. A big safe in a humid environment may take more patience and a couple recharges. Anyway, the humidity in my 60-gun safe is rock solid now and this bentonite clay is by far the best substance you can use to maintain low humidity levels. The card isn't the most accurate way to measure humidity, but for a free bonus guide it at least gets you in the ballpark.Great product, worth every penny. Top notch seller, too. Very, very happy!

A little on the pricy side, BUT, it is well worth it if you have high dollar valuables that you don't want moisture to cling to. This is a good sized bag and far more effective than the boxes. I had two of the box type in the safe at one time and they didn't seem to be doing their job too well. I placed one of these bags in my safe, closed the door for about an hour, looked again, the humidity level in the safe dropped 20%. I will be buying another one to place in the safe. Great product!

This is not taking the humidity down to 30%, I have recharged in 240 degree oven for 4 hours, I have also purchased a canister one, so now I have 2 in the large safe, humidity dropped about 2%, not sure what I have to do next. No instructions came with the bag. I do like the size of the bag, and was hoping it would be enough I guess I will try to recharge again, maybe for longer than 4 hours. There is no odor, so that's nice. and if I can get humidity down a little more, I will be happy.

This product works great and fits just about anywhere! Comes with a handy humidity guage so you know when to recharge the desicant and will last a VERY long time. GREAT product that will surely save years of wear and tear due to higher humidity in a gun safe and takes NO batteries or power. Plop it or hang it in your gun safe and forget about it. It does the job!!!
