It does mount up to the 85 inch Sony Bravia . But with the tv weighing 180 lbs it puts a strain on the mount. My mount has not broken, but has a hard time holding the tv vertically, it always tilts forward even after tightening.

The seller claims this could hold up to 85" TV and 175 lbs. I mounted my Sony 85" TV, installed extra supports behind the wall, and the TV slumped so far it looked like it would fall off the wall. I returned the product due to it being incapable of handling my 100 lb 85" Sony. Also the mount doesn't fit 16" studs, which is the most common. Lastly, one of the tilt knobs was stripped

This wall mount needs to attach directly to studs. The vast majority of studs are 16-inches apart. The mounting holes on this are 14.5 inches apart. Who does that?

will not fit 16" stud separation! Why would they not make the wall bracket 2 inches wider to accommodate the most common stud spacing?
