Feel nothing when you wear a menstruation cup. You never know you can feel so free during your menstruation period until you try a Fairyfox Cup menstruation cup. Tampons are absorbing, they not only absorb menstrual blood, but also the natural vaginal fluids that keep you healthy and moist, and the string Usually gets wet when you pee. Disposable feminine pads are like a constant reminder that you are in an inconvenient time of the month. Wearing a menstruation cup rarely leaks. Unlike tampons and pads, when a menstrual cup is properly inserted, it rarely leaks. To ensure a proper seal, make sure you follow the instructions in the package! Initial impressions and tips
There's a definite learning curve but it seems promising. It came with basic instructions. I watched video reviews of other brands to learn tips beforehand. I've had 2 children by natural childbirth so I was supposed to order a “large”. However, my stature is petite and I was nervous so I ordered a “small” figuring I can always empty more frequently than 12 hours. I really didn't want to FEEL it once it's inside me.Initial insertion was not bad. Warning ladies: Keep your nails trimmed short! You will be getting very up close and personal with your lady parts. It's not supposed to be too deep inside, just enough that the stem is not extending outside of you. Still, I was glad my nails weren't long. Some reviewers said they trimmed the stem. I'm glad that I did NOT trim the stem. I like the flat, textured grip. It made removal easier.I was shocked that once I had it properly inserted, I couldn't feel it at all! I was active and didn't realize it was there. The only time I felt it was when I slept on my side. I felt it shift. That made me wonder if it was going to provide adequate protection? It was fine but I still spotted a little. Just wore a pantyliner as backup. This next part is TMI for many readers so STOP reading here if you've got a sensitive stomach or are uncomfortable. This is a very personal subject to discuss with total strangers. I'd still like to share things rather unfiltered, things I wish I’d known before I tried it so I could've been more mentally prepared. It seems obvious. It's a menstrual cup so you will collect blood. It's fairly messy at first so I'm glad that I'm trying it in the privacy and cleanliness of my own private bathroom. When I first inserted it, I got blood on my fingers because I circled a finger around the cup to check if it had opened back up properly...as recommended in video reviews. The removal is where it gets a bit crazy. I pressed the cup to release the suction. You'll know because sometimes it makes slurpy sounds! I slowly pulled it by the stem. TIP: Get your toilet paper or wipe ready BEFORE you remove it because the cup contains the majority of it's contents but there's a string of bloodiness from the outer surface of the cup. First couple times I had a mild vasovagal response where I got nauseous and dizzy when I saw the blood collected. I was wondering if it’d clot because it’s in there for hours but no it didn’t. Eventually I got desensitized. Now I find it intriguing to see what it collects and to think that's what my tampons/pads had been absorbing. Incredible to think about how many I had to go through to absorb that much!On the other hand it looks like a lot of blood when seen all at once. On the first day of my period the small was more than enough to last me 10-12 hrs. However, on my heavier second day of my period, the small size was ¾ full by 5 hours so I needed to empty more frequently. I could see wanting the smaller cup for lighter days, larger for heavy days.Lastly, what I found helpful was that I could go to the bathroom without removing the cup. My pet peeve about peeing with a tampon is that I can't stand urinating on the string! It also affects my stream so it takes much longer to completely empty my bladder. With the menstrual cup in place I'm able to urinate with ease. I even tried going number two and the cup stayed in place. I was afraid I was going to need to catch the cup in case I squeezed that out too. LOL no such problem!***Update*** April 29, 2018. I've been using it for 4 months. Dropping my review from 4 to 3 stars. Overall, I DO prefer using a menstrual cup over tampons and pads. I learned that my preference is inserting it while in the shower, but I always remove it at the toilet. This product is ok but I'm not completely satisfied. My gripe is that this cup is very flexible. Initially I thought that was an advantage. Now I'm noticing that it's more of a hinderance to getting a really good leak free seal. It collapses on itself and once inside, I find it difficult to consistently get the cup to unfold properly to create a tight seal. Poor seal results in more leaks and spotting. At first I thought it was user error because I was new to this process. However, I'm going to try a different cup to compare it to and see which works better.***Update*** June 2, 2018Tried the Blossom cup and prefer it so far. It's just slightly firmer than this menstrual cup. It is slightly easier to correctly insert more consistently. Tighter seal means less leaks and spotting. However, I haven't been successful in achieving my goal of 90% or better leakproof yet so I still need to use a pantyliner as back up protection.

No pop!
This is very collapsible. I couldn't get it to "pop" no matter what I did. Maybe it will work for you, but I need something sturdier & shorter

These are not easily removed.
It was of good quality and arrived in plenty of time but it proved to be very difficult for her to remove. She is petite and ordered the smallest.
