Dash Cam DescriptionHow do dash cams work? Dash cams are smarter than your basic video camera. it get round the problem by splitting the video into small chunks, usually video files of 1-3 minutes. When the memory card is full, the oldest file will be deleted to make room for a new file, meaning it will always record. However, important files can be locked and protected from deletion, either manually (by pressing a button on the device) or in most cases automatically if the device detects a sudden change in speed (because of an accident or emergency stop). Do I need to wipe the memory card manually? Yes. Although the oldest video clips are deleted automatically to make way for new footage as the dash cam records, you may find that the protected (emergency recording) files build up over time and eventually fill the card, perhaps causing an error message to appear. For this reason, it’s best to format the memory card once every couple of weeks or so. In most cases, you will be able to do this via the dash cam’s menu. Falling apart and the lock option no longer functions.
After my truck was hit by a doofus while I was parked at a gas station, I decided I needed a dash cam. This one is ok, but I am actively looking better one. It films correctly and the images aren't bad, but the instructions leave a lot to be desired.The physical construction is pretty poor as well. I've had this camera for 7 months now and it's falling apart. The first time I tried to take it off the bracket to remove the SD card, the entire connection knob broke off. I was able to super glue it back together and continue using the camera. And.... 3 weeks later, it broke again in a different spot. This week the save/lock button for images stopped working all together. Bottom line is that you get what you pay for and I should have purchased a name brand camera from a legitimate manufacturer.

Great product nice price
If you looking for a car camera, get this one, you will love it for sure. It is very easy to setup and this product including memory card,card reader. The size is just fine,the picture is clear and it can record the sound too. Price is great too. Highly recommend!!!!
