Goosebumps Complete Collection [DVD]

Despite being an adult, I like a few tv shows written for kids or teens. This is definitely one of ‘em. Many episodes of Goosebumps are scary and/or silly enough to be lots of fun to watch. The quality of the plots and dialogue varies a lot, but it’s easy enough to skip episodes that you don’t like. There are certainly plenty of episodes on these dozen DVDs. If the only horror movies that you like are ones like Saw, then pass on Goosebumps. But if you appreciate Scary Movie or Scream or maybe even Shriek If You Know What I Did Last Friday The 13th (like me), I suggest that you stream a few episodes or borrow a DVD. If you like the show, it’s a lot cheaper to buy this way than one disc at a time. Of course, you must have a region free DVD or Blu Ray player, like the ones for sale here on Amazon. I thought the warning higher up the page made that very clear. Apparently one reviewer isn’t much on reading. With all the discs available in Europe and Asia but not here, I’ve had a region free player for about 15 years. A little Goosebumps is a great way to relax a bit between the really scary stuff in a Halloween Movie Marathon or pizza ‘n’ beer ‘n’ movie night. That makes the real frights more frightening. I have no problem with people writing reviews in broken English. If I can understand what the reviewer is saying, that’s good enough for me. But I most certainly do have a problem with reviews that are factually incorrect. I watched Goosebumps on Sony’s second cheapest Blu Ray player with both types of video noise reduction switched off. Upconverting to 1080p makes picture defects stand out. Goosebumps looked just fine to me. Then about the scratches. Skipping lightly over whether that would be the fault of the manufacturer or the shipper, I don’t believe that there were any scratches. Goosebumps came in a case where the spindles lock together when the case is closed, something I’ve never seen before. The discs can’t move around and can’t be scratched. As for broken discs, exactly how do you accidentally break a DVD? I might be able to break one with my hands. Can’t say that I’ve ever tried. I’m fairly sure that I could break a DVD with a vice and a hammer. But accidentally? No way. I don’t believe it. So if you want some youthful fun or are nostalgic about the tv shows from your own youth, get some Goosebumps! Just make sure you have a region free DVD or Blu Ray player. And don’t smash the case with a big hammer before you open it.

After so long of not having The Haunted Mask, The Cuckoo Clock of Doom, and Werewolf Skin available on DVD in the US, I decided to take a leap of faith and got this UK PAL Collection of my most favorite book series ever! Goosebumps has always had a special place in my heart as it was a huge part of my childhood. From the book series, the TV show, having the subcription to the Official Goosebumps Fan Club, and submitting my own story to Disney Adventure magazine to complete an R. L. Stine story, I have a very long-standing memory of this incredible series that helped shape my own writing, and helped me grow from a 90s' child into the man I've become now. I will always treasure this complete DVD collection from now until forever!

Got this to have the TV series on DVD. It was about $50, veruse $ for $20 2 episodes each. It is Pal version you will need a region free dvd player, or a PC with a dvd drive. You will the have to download leawo blu ray player which is a region free blu-ray\DVD player. It was a great value for the price.

Read everything we still can't watch it ( needs a special player)!

The DVDs did not work in my DVD player; however, that was clearly explained in the description of this product. I was told that I could buy a cheap DVD player that would be able to play these movies. It came brand new and in the box.

Cuality is bad and some of the dvds came broken and scratch

had to return it cause i had no idea there was such a thing as region difference so i was outta pocket for like $17 just ta send it back

昔NHKでやっているのを楽しみに見ていました！残念なことに国内版が見つからなかったのでこちらを購入。英語字幕すらないので、聞き取れないところもありますがそれでも面白いです！地道に英語力を増やすしかないですね～

Brings me back to the best parts of my childhood! If buying from Canada or USA, you will need an All Region DVD player due to the DVDs region code being for UK. It's worth the small investment! This is the only version I've been able to find that has all the Goosebumps movies (excluding the recent one that was just out in theatre) plus at a great price for all the videos you get. Packaging looks great on the shelf also and has hard plastic packaging so less likely of getting scratched from bumps in the mail. I can't wait to show these to the next generation of little goblins!
