The KOHLER Cachet ReadyLatch toilet seat is exactly the kind of upgrade that makes everyday life easier. Installation took only a few minutes, and the ReadyLatch system locked everything in place securely with no wobbling. The slow‑close lid works flawlessly, with no slamming or noise, just smooth and quiet every time. The Grip‑Tight bumpers keep the seat firmly in place, and the elongated shape is comfortable and feels solidly built. The white finish looks clean and matches my existing Kohler toilet perfectly. Excellent quality, simple install, and reliable performance. A great purchase all around.

I like the new seat easy to install, and works great. Seems durable and easy to clean . I like the silent fold down.

Installed on a Kohler toilet. There are no written instructions. Watch BOTH installation videos here on Amazon to get the full picture. The first video makes it look like an easy drop-in, but it's as difficult as installing any other toilet seat. The two extra pieces not explained anywhere but the second video, are BUMPERS for the first seat where it contacts the toilet in the front. For tightening, you'll still have to reach under and hold the T section while you tighten the screw unlike it shows in the first video where it miraculously just tightens on its own. Also, when you drop the screw, make sure it falls into the metal flange at the base of the T. The seat wobbles a bit even after tightening, a back-and-forth play from the hinges. I guess that is normal. Still better than the generic seat I had before, which collapsed, wobbled horribly, and started leaking hydraulic fluid from the hinges. Go ahead and spend the money and get this brand name.

Quality toilet seat. East to install, sturdy, no slipping on toilet rim, & soft (very slow) close. I bought the black to match my MacKenzie Childs shower curtain and bath rug. It really looks "high end" and adds a nice touch to the entire bathroom scheme. I would buy this brand again. My husband bought another less expensive brand toilet seat and he is sorry that he did. It slips on the toilet rim.

Very happy with this new seat. It was easy to put in, took about 20 mins. I noted it did not have any instructions but I was able to figure it out without needing to go to Youtube. :) Very happy with the quality and it fit well. Makes the toilet look brand new again.

NEVER thought I would be writing a toilet seat review....but here we are. I bought this because my Kohler seat from the toilet replacement years ago cracked. I didn't care about the ReadyLatch technology, in fact I almost didn't buy it for that reason and thought do I really WANT to take my toilet seat off? not really....esp at my age, but that was the seat I had before so I bought it in spite of the new technology but was low key mad I had to learn how to put on a toilet seat. Why change something that was so easy? WELL, LET ME TELL YOU. This was WAY easier! Instructions were short and sweet. It was VERY easy and no akward reaching/twisting for the screwdriver and the washer thingy. I'm old, don't need any new things, but this is worth every penny and it was the same price at the big box store without going on there and all that's involved. At my door in 6 hours, and installed in less than 10 minutes. Took me longer to read the instructions than to slap that thing on. Very easy. Enjoy!

This is a review for the KOHLER 4636-RL-0 Cachet ReadyLatch Elongated Toilet Seat. The Good: Everything. The Bad: The instructions. The Ugly: Seriously, the instructions. The Kohler ReadyLatch toilet seat is a really nice piece of work. It features a slow, soft-closing lid and seat as well. The material is plastic, but it has a good thickness and feels very firm under me when I sit down. I'm 6'2" and 280lbs currently, and there's not even any flex from the seat as I sit down. *Very* sturdy, indeed. The color is a basic white, just like the porcelain on most toilets, so it matches just fine. I have to give props to their packaging. Before you even open the package, it shows you the measurements and warns you to double check and make sure it'll fit on your toilet (and that you didn't order the wrong shape for your toilet!). That being said, the only downside was the instructions - there really wasn't much of any. I've taken off and put on a lot of toilet seats in my time, and they're all pretty straight forward - pop the tab on the top, grab the nut on the underside, use a screw driver to unscrew the plastic bolt from the nut, repeat on the other side, and job's halfway done. Reverse it to install. No problem, right? Wrong! This Kohler had a rubber encased wing nut with a tube that flared out at the end into a flat donut. What...the...okay! Let's check instructions...uhhh...nope...okay, *sigh* let's ask the Internet. Bingo. After hunting around the first couple search results, I found a gentleman installing one - on YouTube. I had to sit through five minutes of someone talking about their toilet and the seat, how their seat had a crack in it, etc etc etc, until suddenly he shows me the secret! FOLD THE WINGNUT SIDEWAYS AGAINST THE TUBE, SLIP IT DOWN THROUGH THE BOLT HOLE ON THE TOILET!!! After that, the install was very simple and straight forward. Position the toilet seat over the two bolt holes (now with a rubber tube installed and a wing nut hanging down on the other side) and install the two bolts that come with the lid. Final Thoughts: I've been using it now for a bit, and I have to say - it's different from my other lids, but I really like the design, fit and the angle of it. It's comfortable, but not "sit on the pot and watch funny cat videos" comfortable. Overall, I'd say it's competitively priced, and well worth the money.

Good Elongated Seat. Fits the old Kohler Portrait Toilet pan well. But the Kohler Lustra Elongated is a better shape fit to the Portrait Toilet - although arguably this is a better toilet seat. I have two Kohler Portrait Toilets and bought one of these and one Lustra Toilet Seat (the Lustra is twice the price). I won’t change this Cachet toilet seat for the moment as it’s acceptable. But next time I’ll pay the extra for the Lustra toilet seat. Even though this one is a slightly better product.

Easy to install and good quality

The quiet close works as expected, and the seat is comfortable enough. Installation was easy and the seat fits perfectly. I would buy it again.
