GB eye World Maps 61 x 91.5cm Maxi Poster

I bought this to help me plan all the trips around the world which I intend on doing. Some reviews have said the paper quality is poor, to which I would highly disagree....it is a poster (so is of course made of paper), therefore yes, it will rip, but the paper is good quality and has a nice gloss sheen to it which really enhances the colours.As other reviews have said, the place names are small and every city is not included. But in my mind, that is to be expected with a world map. It wouldn't be possible to include all the places in the world on a map of this size, or have large writing for the places that are included. Buy a map of the area/country you are interested in if that is what you want.As far as world maps go, I think this is a great buy if you want to brush up on your geography, plan trips, or even just have it on a wall. I especially like how it has each country's flag at the bottom. Although, my one dislike in the poster is that the flag of England (or indeed Scotland and Wales) is not on there, only the UK flag is included.

I wanted a nice, good quality, clear world map for my wall at Uni (I'm a geography student). I was attracted to this one by the price, and it seemed like for the cost it was worth a gamble.I am so impressed!! The map is really good; shiny paper of a good quality (not nearly as tough as laminated of course, but pretty good for paper), very clear printing and lots of detail on the map, bright colours without being garish - I could go on!! It arrived really promptly, well packaged in a sturdy tube and wrapped in tissue paper to protect it. It doesn't have a single crease which is fab!For the cost of this map it is excellent value, and I highly reccomend it if you're not looking to splash out on expensive laminated wall maps!

Just the job, easy to see and read.

This is a good size A1 map, I wanted this to use push pins of where I've visited around the world. The quality of the paper is very good, fairly thick and nice and glossy! The print is also very sharp and the colours of each country are very vivid, nice and colourful! It also includes flags of each country which is useful to learn which flag belongs to each country- however I thought the writing is quite small at the bottom of the map and you would have to be stood right in front of the poster to read these, I've placed my map on the wall above my chest of drawers so I have to lean over my drawers to read the flags.The map is detailed although I would have liked the countries to be bigger so more detail could have been added where Europe seems a bit cramped so space for city names is limited, but that's just one thing that you can only see once you've purchased it. Other than that this is a great product :)

I've always wanted a world map in my room, as I've always been quite interested in geography. As I'm now studying abroad with lots of friends from different countries, it's fascinating to see where in the world they come from. The map is huge, so there is quite a lot of detail; there are 195 flags on the bottom edge of the map with the size of the country in square km and square miles, the population of the country, the capital and the currency printed next to each of the flags, which proves to be informative. The quality of the product is excellent and it makes me smile every time I enter my room.

This was very good value and the quality is much better than i had expected, it is very clear and a suitable size to read.

Arrived within a week in excellent condition, rolled up in a tube with another thin paper layer- it's amazingly huge (I didn't expect how big it was) and definitely worth the money spent! It covers my wall nicely and I marked out all the places I've been to with little paper flags- and it's a good conversation starter! My friends love it and I've recommended it to several of them. It's probably a good and cheap way to decorate a playroom/ nursery, and it's suitable for children and adults alike.The timezones at the bottom are a nice touch, too. The surface of the map is nice and slightly glossy.
