Lockwire pliers attempt
I have been using lockwire pliers versus a Navy machinist mate for almost 50 years. These are a photograph of lockwire pliers. They just don't feel the same they don't act the same reaction is not smooth. When you're using lockwire pliers you got to have a smooth action when you pull and you make the twist they don't retract back to neutral very well. It maybe there was a lot of use he'll get better I had ordered this pair because another pair I bought from Amazon turned out to be good even though cheaper than a lockwire pliers of the Navy. If you're going to do a lot of lock wire these would drive you crazy and you probably end up using them as a hammer. But I adapt. I think the manufacturing process in the materials used have been cheapened to bring the price down and I would have rather paid 5 or $10 more or more for a good operational pair. After all if it slows you down for hours I could have bought a case of them. I don't have time to do other than this to follow it down but these people in China need to get their act together. After all lock wire is a safety device that needs to be done in a correct Manner and it's not a toy. Got any idea how much lock wires in a submarine? I do. These people should hire me as a design consultant to authenticate their quality. Pardon me but tools are life and death in some people just don't get that they think they're fishing weights.

serrated jaws
used these all the time in the Air Force on F16's, so wanted to use on different areas on my race car. These have serrated jaws! Better for holding wire, HOWEVER this is a no no on planes as the serrated jaws bite into the wire weakening it in these areas. So these can be used, just not in long runs where you'll end up biting the wire. Short runs you can twist wire past the needed portion and cutting off the serrated damaged portion. Should be smooth jaw as they would hold wire just as well without damage.

Manufactured horribly. The tolerance on the hinge portion is too tight (almost requiring two hands to open the tool). Took two hands to squeeze together this making it really hard to engage the lock when using the wire. I took a torch to the rounded part of the handles while in the locked position to help it be held with one hand and locked with the other. Works a lot better than it did, but I wouldn’t buy this again. The wire that comes with it isn’t the greatest either.
