She has a nice personality and the writing style appealed to me. The trouble I have with this and other recipe books is that you do not get a preview of any of the recipes. Just the forward and general info. I understand why they would not want to "give it away" but what happens to me is I can't use many of them. I am allergic to eggs and my husband won't eat them. So that rules out many of the recipes - especially breakfast. There are also foods like cooked fish and shell fish that he cannot eat so that wipes out another swath of recipes. It really doesn't make it much of a value. My second issue is that many of the lunch recipes - like other cook books - are things you need to cook. I work so I can't whip up lunch. I need pack and go things. She has a few but the majority of it has to be cooked. Lastly, for this book, she is from the UK so all measures are in grams and Celsius vs. cups and Fahrenheit. Takes a while to do the math. So overall, for me - not worth it.

This book, along with her first book "The Body Bible" is literally my food bible!I have made almost every recipe in the book and have yet to be disappointed. Perfect for the macro counting fit person always on the go! The only thing I wish the books contained is the macros and calories per recipe, but if you already track your own, it's not hard to import ingredients into tracking app to get the info.

Great job Alice!
Great, easy to follow and nutrient-dense recipes. Full of interesting and evidence-based data about nutrition and recipes with pictures. She is a major expert on the field. I highly recommend her books if you have little time to cook but still aim for healthy and delicius meals.

Bestes Kochbuch aller Zeiten
Ganz ehrlich: ohne die Option "Blick ins Buch" hätte ich dieses Werk keines zweiten Blickes gewürdigt. Das Titelbild schaut ja förmlich nach guten Ratschlägen und erhobenem Zeigefinger aus. Allerdings kommen zwei schlagende Vorteile zum Einsatz: es ist erstens auf Englisch, was es - zumindest für mich - schon mal ein wenig charmanter rüber kommen lässt. Und zweitens ist die Autorin erstaunlicherweise unglaublich sympathisch und keinesfalls belehrend. Der Teil mit den Informationen bezüglich Inhaltsstoffen etc. ist erfreulich kurz gehalten, dafür tobt sich Alice bei den Rezepten so richtig schön aus. Bereits beim ersten Durchblättern dachte ich mir: wow, erstes Kochbuch, wo ich wirklich jedes Rezept einmal nachkochen möchte. Die Rezepte sind für 1 und 2 Personen angegeben, was mir als Single auch sehr entgegen kommt. Die Zutaten bekommt man alle in einem durchschnittlich guten Supermarkt. Ihre Wochenpläne sind nicht diktatorisch zu verstehen, sondern sollen einen Überblick über eine möglichst abwechslungsreiche und genussvolle Zusammenstellung bieten. Ich bin begeistert und esse ab sofort nur mehr clean!

Fantastic book from a wonderful role model
First things first.. well done to Alice. She has been on an incredible journey and shared that with the world and by doing so encouraged others to live a healthy, happy lifestyle. This book is brilliant. The recipes are clear, uncomplicated to follow and sound absolutely delicious!! What I love about this book is there is much more (compared to the first-which wasn't just a cookbook) recipes that you can make ahead for lunches etc.. which is perfect for those of us that don't have facilities to cook during the working day! Alice is honest and consistent, which comes across in the recipes as well as the advice. Anyone who is looking to change to a healthier lifestyle (or continue with one) I highly recommend this book, as well as her first book The Body Bible. And I understand this next bit isn't about the book but I would also recommend following her on social media as she genuinely cares about her followers and has so much to give to them.Fantastic book!! I've already got my shopping list ready to try lots of them out!! Thumbs up!!!
