Simply Sleep & Calm Elixir 100ml - Herbal Remedy Traditionally Used to Aid Restful Sleep

I want to bed around 11pm last night and kept tossing and turning , blinked while counting up to the number 200 (3 times ) and usually that makes my head spin ,causing my eyes to fall asleep ..last night, & very rarely this technique didn’t work for some reason . I was awake till 2 am Then I remembered I had purchased this Nytol and it was right by my bedside . So I didn’t manage to get a spoon from my kitchen cupboard but I used the lid to “approximate” 5mls / the equivalent of a tablespoon (maybe I poured more ) but next thing I remembered was waking up in the morning at 6:30 to turn my alarm off . If you’re thinking of trying this out to help ease your symptoms of insomnia ,then I’ll say go ahead because you won’t be disappointed. I hadn’t even looked at the other reviews but I knew Nytol worked because I have tried the tablets which work well for me ! Note that : When I’m working my 12 hour shifts I have no problem falling asleep ,but it’s the days I’m off work that I need a little assistance & Nytol has proven again and again that it works …for me . Also note that ;it tastes absolutely horrible ! just like the tablets taste like cow dung ,but once you get used to the scent it doesn’t seem as vile 😂

The only thing that works between night shifts, the herbal works, the chemical version doesn't touch me. It is easy to swallow and doesn't upset my stomach, tastes souch better than Night nurse- too sweet.

This DOES work, you just have to give it time as it's not immediate, often takes around 20mins to take effect, I find. Reason 4*s and not 5 is sometimes you need more than the recommended dose and it's horrendously expensive. I find taste OK, it's a herbal remedy after all, it's not meant to taste nice!!! It's the only thing that works for me when my head is so full of stuff that I can't sleep which thankfully is only once every week or two. Like Bach's remedies, this herbal tincture is in alcohol as I've noticed too much of it (& I've doubled the dose occasionally if things are really bad) and I get a roaring headache/hangover the next morning! For me there no other sleep remedy that actually works, it's gentle and natural and on subscription. I just wish it wasn't so expensive

Positives: it really helps me to sleep. I take 10ml and half hour later feel slightly drowsy. So full marks for that. And it makes me sleep well. People complain about the smell/taste but need to understand that it contains valerian, which is quite a stinky herb, so maybe the manufacturer might put some kind of a warning. But it's not a negative for me. Negatives: makes me feel sluggish in the morning, like I've taken a z pill or something, and takes hours to wear off. Also, I have developed moth sores and digestive problems and suspect it's this stuff, so I've had to stop taking it. I'm in the UK so will report this via the online yellow card system (and suggest others do if they have similar problems).

I hate giving bad reviews, but sadly I can’t help it with this one. Sorry but I’d give zero stars if I could. I tried this sleeping liquid last night, and unfortunately, it was a truly dreadful experience. The taste was absolutely unbearable—imagine cow dung mixed with pure alcohol and some sugar. It was so bad that my stomach churned immediately after taking it. To make matters worse, I woke up in the middle of the night with a splitting headache and felt hungover the entire next day. I’m genuinely shocked that this product is on the market, as I can’t fathom how anyone could tolerate the awful taste. The alcohol content feels alarmingly high for a sleep aid. If someone were to use this regularly, it feels like they’d be risking developing a dependency. The formula desperately needs improvement, starting with a massive reduction in alcohol content and some effort to make the taste more palatable. I cannot recommend this product to anyone. If you’re looking for a sleep aid, look elsewhere. This one does far more harm than good.

Interesting I love the taste. I know the pills tastes disgusting but the syrup is actually quite pleasant so I don't know why people are commenting about the taste. Nothing wrong with taste or product also.

Help make me relax and calm only tried it once. I did get a deeper sleep. I need to test this more days to see if I can improve my sleeping pattern but the main thing is deep affective sleep. It works. But tastes horrible. I’d go rot the tablets if this is a game changer.
