Amazon Basics Ventilated, Height-Adjustable Laptop Stand with cord organiser, Black

The name Amazon Basics gives the impression that this product is going to be exactly that.....BASIC. Thankfully I ignored the name and focused on the glowing reviews. I have definitely not been disappointed. It is a very sturdy piece of kit, especially for the price position, and does a superb job at supporting my laptop. Its a 15.6 inch screen and fits perfectly into the cradle, overhanging it by about 25mm on either side, which is perfect.. The height and angle can be adjusted into 9 different positions. There are actually 7 built in fixing positions but you gain a couple more positions by using it in the fully closed position, or by extending the support arm beyond the final built in fixing position. For my viewing & typing comfort I have found the fully closed position to work best. Its good to know though that I've got lots of flexibility to adjust should I have a need; or someone else uses the laptop. The only gripe, and I'm repeating what a lot of other reviewers have said, is that the lugs at the base of the cradle to stop the laptop slipping out when it is angled, protrude above the position of the laptop (my laptop is approximately 20mm deep where it intercepts the lugs). This makes it uncomfortable when typing as they keep catching against my wrists. Well they did until I found a very simple and effective workaround. I inserted a couple of circular rubber sticky pads on each side of the base at the front of the cradle and my laptop now fits perfectly in line with the retaining lugs. If you are in doubt as to what sticky pads I am referring to, they are made in different thicknesses from felt or rubber, and are primarily used to stop furniture marking wooden floors. I bought mine from one of the pound shops!! Although the height of the lugs are a bit of a nuisance, don't let this stop you from buying the cradle as its a great piece of kit and there is a simple fix.

This is a fantastic, simple, inexpensive piece of kit that completely stops my MacBook pro overheating when I use it in bed. One of my best buys ever! It's made of metal, so further conducts any heat away, the angle is adjustable and it's light yet sturdy. Yes the little stops stand proud if you have a slim computer but all you need to do to fix that is pop something underneath the laptop at that point.. anything, a folded up sock would do., and problem solved. I love this so much I'm not even taking off a star for that. Outstanding!

So this is really easy to set up, basically works straight out of the box. great for its purpose to lift the laptop up at an angle, and gives it more room to get air into it, which is great, especially on a gaming laptop however, there are a couple of little flaws with it that are annoying, but not enough that I wanted to send it back, I just had to make some adjustments. first, on the left side of mine, there is a really sharp edge to one bit of metal, I could see me cutting myself on it, so I've stuck a little blutack on it, and that's sorted it. secondly, I found that the little ledges on the bottom that are to stop the laptop slipping off the stand stick up far too high,(especially now that most laptops are very slim lined) so you either have to hold your wrist at an awkward angle to avoid them or rest them on these ledges, which becomes quite sore/uncomfortable quite quickly. It would have been good if the stand included a little prop up here that could lift the front edge of the laptop to be in line with the ledges, but instead, I'd opted to put some cardboard under the laptop, just at these points, which has made all the difference. finally, all the angles that it gives you as adjustable height options are pretty high. the lowest one is just at the point I can manage it, any higher and I think the blood would be running away from my fingers as I typed. so overall, a good laptop stand, but does need a couple of little adjustments to get it just right.

I've been using this product since July 2018...and despite having several different laptop stands...this stand is a fantastic bit of kit. My laptops run significantly cooler...which has the additional benefit of running significantly quieter. The laptop coolers I have and had (most have failing or failed cooling fans) have all required usb power to run the fans, which also were noisy...the beauty of this laptop stand wins on so many levels: no power needed no noise superior cooling by way of the mesh design it is lighter than all my other laptop stands super easy to keep clean it feels cool on your lap! and it has a nice feel to touch I just wish that Amazon made a larger one! It will fit all laptops, even my 17" laptops fit, albeit hanging over the edges. But if there were larger options I wouldn't hesitate to purchase one of each, as this laptop stand is a joy to use, and I would use the different sized versions for my different sized laptops, but also to accommodate my requirements on how compact or spacious I want my stand in terms of comfort on my lap, seating position, etc. There is nothing 'basic' about this 'AmazonBasics' laptop stand, I've been using it on an almost daily basis for over 2 years, and it looks and feels the same as the day I received it! I don't hesitate to recommend purchasing this item with confidence

La base es bastante resistente, es completamente de metal y cuenta con diferentes ángulos para diversos usos. Yo la uso con una lenovo yoga y me funciona bastante bien tanto en modo pc, como en modo tablet. Muy recomendable para diferentes usos, yo la uso para tener un buen ángulo de apoyo para escribir en la computadora o también aplica si quieres que tu computadora esté bien ventilada para que no se sobre caliente. Además, llegué a tener un inconveniente con el producto, pero Amazon se hizo responsable y de inmediato me atendieron y solucionaron todo. Sin duda, excelentes productos y calidad de servicio. Eso sin contar el precio, que por el mismo precio no encuentras la misma calidad en otras bases de laptop.

This is a great laptop stand if that is your purchase reason. I read a few reviews and I think some purchasers bought this for the wrong purpose, so here is my take on it. This is an ideal stand for desktop usage when one likes a laptop slightly raised in the back or when one uses a separate keyboard/mouse and wants to prop it up higher to have the screen at eye-level. It also ensures the laptop doesn't slide around on the desk. Pluses - Sturdy, with pads in the right places. - It give passive cooling because of the grid. - highest setting puts screen at eye level, camera at face height. - keeps laptop in one place for those of us who tend to push and pull it over the course of a day. - perfect size for 15-inch laptop. Unboxing, it is lightweight with a rattly metal feel. Set up on the desk, at the highest setting, it is solid and confidence-inspiring. No worries about scratching my painted wood desk or my aluminum Macbook, as there were generous, nicely placed pads on the bottom of the device and on the front tabs. I think there are better choices if you're specifically looking for a passive cooler on your lap. I would never use this directly on my lap - it's metal! I use the Xpad Slim when I game on my laptop in front of the TV, either in my lap or on a small computer table. But definitely, if you want to tilt your laptop on a flat surface, this baby does it nicely for under $20. A great buy for the price!

新しい部署であてがわれたPCがラップトップだったので、このスタンドを購入しました。 そのままだと猫背気味になって、肩が凝ってしまうためです。 タイトル通り、価格は安いですが、使い勝手の良い商品で気に入っています。 価格が安い分、見た目はチープです。開梱時、安っぽい金属が触れ合う音にやや萎えたのも事実です。 ただ、これを持ち歩くことはまずないでしょうし、デバイスを置いたらそのチープさは隠れてしまうので、 今は気になっていません。 見た目同様、造りもチープです。これはシンプルと言い換えられるでしょうけど。 手をのせて寄りかかるなど、不用意に荷重をかけ過ぎると簡単にひしゃげてしまうとは思います。 通常の使用で壊れてしまうことはなさそうです。 造りがシンプルな分、多少は手を加えることが可能だと思います。 シンプルゆえに、軽いということも長所の一つかと。 台座がメッシュになっていることから、デバイスをべったりと机に置くよりも 排熱効果は高いと思われます。 大き目のラップトップを設置するとひっくり返るとのコメントがいくつか散見されますが、 角度を立て気味にしたら、そうゆうことは起きにくいのかもしれません。 私のラップトップは15.6インチですが、ふらつきなく安定しています。 角度を立てると目線を下げなくて済むので疲れにくくなるかもしれませんね。 カテゴリーの中では最安値に位置する本商品ですが、購入する価値は十分にあると思います 他の長所として、コードのオーガナイザーがついている点は気が利いているなと思います。 ご使用にあたっては、別途キーボードを用意した方がよいと思います。理由としては； ①傾きを一番低い角度にしても、タイピング時の手首への負担は小さくない ②デバイスの台座・床面にくるストッパーが手に当たってしまう

Super sturdy!! I bought a different expensive one prior to this and man o man, it was frustrating. However this one is so strong, it reminds me of the inclined bench at the gym cuz its that strong yet very light weight. It has a holder to fit at the back, so you can organize all the wires and cables by running them through it. Amazing! I wonder if I should buy 10 of these for the future because this stuff is so good, and we all know how things will get upgraded and replace with something useless. Seriously for 18 bucks, it looks pretty, does the job, has enough ventilation for the laptops heat, has a strong clamp at the front so the laptop can no way in hell slide down. It is simple and effective, and I dont think anyone would need buy a laptop stand ever again if they bough a bunch of these once as they are going to live at least a 1000 years
