To answer your question, yes, it is suitable for use under a natural slate roof, providing the roof is traditionally built with membrane/felt (for the lapVent to fit into) which needs to be in good condition throughout. You need to make sure that the gap between the rafters is no less than 315mm wide or there will not be enough room for the lapVent to fit.

Hi thank you for your interest in lapVents. The filtered lapVent system consists of a sloped, multifaceted reservoir area which unlike all similar products controls ingress as well as extraction.
During the seasons, the undersides of all common free-laid roofing materials will remain damp to some extent or other throughout their lives. The lapVent system does not add to this but in fact ‘improves’ aeration.  Uninterrupted airflow through interconnected batten cavities has preserved vulnerable roofing materials for centuries.
Any moisture extraction/exhaust/ingress condenses on the cooler side of lapVents unique mesh faced aperture and settles on collective surfaces that direct any flow harmlessly down the weather-side of the underfelt, and so to atmosphere.
