If you're on a tight budget it will get the job done.
It's one of the cheapest tablets and makes some impressive claims, but you can see exactly how they got the price down. The first thing I noticed when it arrived was the box was long and thin. This has the shape of the old Surface 2 tablets, very long and narrow, much like a scaled up version of the 8" tablets you see. This is a problem when you try and hold it in one hand. It feels awkward and heavy unlike things like the Nexus 9/10. The pictures on the product page are quite misleading and suggest it's a more traditional form factor. When I first turned it on I thought the screen was nasty. The viewing angle seemed to be about 3 degrees meaning I was constantly wiggling it about just to see one side or the other. It also has a clear pattern to it as if the screen was a bit of graph paper with the pixels coloured in. After a bit of use though I got used to it and it's actually perfectly usable, just not great.Wifi next. Mine might have had a fault, but I actually think it was working as intended. If that's the case the wireless reception is weak. Of all the devices I use this one struggled with signal strength. Everything else has always had full signal. As a double whammy, it only supports 2G wireless which should have a greater range than 5G anyway, yet everything on 5G has full signal and this can't get half on 2G.It's not that quick. It feels slower than a 4 or 5 year old Nexus 10. Unlike the Nexus 10 it does have an SD Card slot though which is worth its weight in gold imo. Speaking of weight (and size), it's thicker than some, but not excessive. It's not heavy particularly, but as mentioned before, the odd shape makes it feel much heavier. The build quality is variable. Mine had one unfinished corner of the screen surround which felt like little sharp burrs every time you touched it. The rest of it seemed well enough screwed together. So all in all, it works perfectly well, it is cheap and it has an SD card socket but for me it had enough issues to be returned, especially the wireless which may have been faulty.

something that wasn't too technical and was pretty much a blank slate
For some while now I've wanted to buy a Tablet of some kind, something within my limited budget , something that wasn't too technical and was pretty much a blank slate. With the prospects of much longer stays in hospital I wanted some distractions, a Tablet seemed like a good idea.I then spent ages rummaging through the Amazon reviews and decided on this Tablet because most of the reviews and the comments were balanced.I received the model above and the first impressions were good, it was well packaged without overkill , it felt like a sturdy, well made, visually pleasing item. From the off it was easy to set up the WiFi and the date / time/24 hour clock etc. This is a very intuitive Tablet especially if you have an android phone , finding your way around is pretty easy to be honest, you can't do much wrong with it. It arrived with a charger, a standard to small USB lead and a tiny manual ... and I do mean tiny.It also came with a pen/stylus which felt right.Having powered it up and used it to load music, photos and some small videos from my laptop I realised the battery was running very low, I tried to recharge it and it didn't work. Personally I feel the charger is the weakest part of the whole package , it's physically weak. After contacting Amazon they sent out a replacement straight away, the Customer Service people were excellent. I wrote to the company IT Tablets and they responded saying that the next unit would be fine , they didn't answer any follow up e mails though, could be better there. The replacement unit arrived and it looked like a refurbished item and there were marks on the screen. I would like to see better quality control on this product.Rather than return the second unit I will put up with the marks and be glad it charges up ok.The unit is fast, the colours are fine, the audio is bettered by the addition of an equalizer app from Google Play, battery life is pretty damned good by anybody's standards, I can get six hours of listening to music probably more. Buy a decent set of headphones because the audio from the speakers is low and tinny, remember this is a budget item. Once you have the headphones and the equalizer app the audio is really quite good.I would also recommend finding screen protectors of the right size because fingerprints show up quite easily but they don't spoil the viewing. If this unit is still working in six months time I'll write another review ...is it worth the money ???DEFINITELY !!
