Melta - Ground Barley and Chicory Coffee Mix - 500g (Caffeine Free)

Very happy with this pack of chicory - it came within the promised time and at a good price. This particular brand is clearly meant for the non-British market, but chicory is chicory - as far as I can tell, it has nothing whatever added to it and was delicious. A word to the wise for any chicory first-timers, if you are looking for instant chicory coffee, (the stuff you just spoon into a cup and watch dissolve), this is not for you. What you need here is a cafetiere or similar, and you should treat it as you would fresh coffee.

When I realised I could not take coffee anymore that was a big dissapointment. I am very glad to have found this product, I use it in my cafetia as well. Very possibly will buy more

It is not plaine chicory....it contains gluten so it is not good for me....

It is not to our taste. Messy to prepare a proper cup of coffee. More bitter than an ordinary coffee. Packet comes with instruction which is not in English language.

I grew up on MeltaMelta is full of vitamins , good for breakfast, for children, adults and old people.I recommend Boil the milk not cold and the smaller proportion of Melta.Boiling milk changes taste of Melta

The main ingredient is barley. There is no taste of chicory, it tastes of burnt barley, & smells of burnt oats
