Gilded Gold
Gold leafs worked well for a d-i-y project at home following some tutorials or guides online. It is not easy and it is time consuming. Here are my helpful tips for beginners & other enthusiastic people.1. You do need to use specific leaf glue, not any type of glue. Start by applying glue for at least 3-5 mins on the dry surface of the item so it is tacky. If you leave it too long then the glue drys and the leafs will not stick. I repeat it must be a sticky surface.2. Then with plenty of patience try to pick up the leafs and apply to the sticky surface with a dry brush. Use the brush to stick one side and carefully tap the rest of the leaf on the item / surface area.3. Do not brush, TAP the brush otherwise it will be messy and you may need to clean, reapply the glue and leaf.4. If you can't do the one leaf method then try cutting the leaf on the base sheets into sections and using a smaller brush.5. Do not cut if you want something covered completely on a large area.6. You can start buffing away with another dry brush when it is completely dry (double check with your fingers lightly going over every area)7. If you like the antique look keep it dry after buffing or varnish carefully with another brush.8. Use acrylic gloss if you like the shiny gloss look over the leafs to preserve it longer.Take Note: Perhaps as a good idea some sellers can sell these leafs with the glue as a bundle.

Don’t move... don’t even breathe...
This stuff is exactly the same as the gold leaf I used to use in the custom auto paint trade. A very fine micro-thickness - so almost able to defy gravity - therefore don’t flap about too much or exhale too deeply before getting it firmly stuck down or it will fly away! The most common disappointment with fine leaf (which this certainly is) lies with the adhesive. The gold will highlight every lump, dip and imperfection that lies beneath. Sticking to a nicely levelled out tacky layer of gel will make life much easier and give very neat results. If you need to use an adhesive my tip is to heavily dilute it, use the thinnest coat possible and watch you don’t leave brush marks in it. If you have an airbrush use that instead.Leaf can stick to anything so easily, it barely needs any help so eight parts water to two parts adhesive should do the trick.

Pretty good so far
Im planning to use this product on a marble designed cake but so far the quality, amount and price were so good. It seems small when i got it but Im pretty sure its enough for one large cake. Would buy again.

My New favourite brand
I've been using gold leaf for a couple of years and I've used various brands of imitation or genuine gold leaf. Thought I'd try this brand and I'm so impressed!!! It's so easy to use, the backing sheet works wonders too as the leaf doesn't flop around or crinkle when you remove it from the backing. Needless to say this is now my favourite brand by far. Weather you're new to gold leaf or an experienced user this is a must buy in my opinion.

Lovely shade of gold but these are very tiny squares, so check the description carefully to make sure you order enough for your intended project.

Beautiful quality small gold leaves
Arrived before stated time. Beautiful quality small gold leaves. Leaves are loose which makes it tricky to transfer onto desired surfaces.
