Where to start...I'll go thru the basics : when closed blade is VERY centered. I mean dead nutz right down the center. Solid lock up when open, no wiggle. Action is excellent, opens like a dream. You can gravity drop the blade closed once disengaging the lock with a downward shake or two. Is completely one handed operational. Blade edge is hair shaving sharp. Edge grind is even.Handle wise : everything that should be rounded off and smooth is, no jaggies. Handle is comfortable for my medium sized hands.The knife is gorgeous. A work of art in modern knife making. The carbon fiber dances when catching different angles of light. I love the matte finish on the handle on the pivot end. For me it adds a look from WW2 Era rifles. Reminds me of the hardware on an M1 Garande. Don't exactly know why.The Damascus is beautiful. Also dances around with light play. I looked at it for some reason with a headlamp on and it was even more stunning. The direct light makes the different steels of the Damascus more noticeable. It almost looks like the blade would have indentations in it, how the light reflects off of the Damascus swirlies, but does not, is completely smooth and even. Is almost like an optical illusion.Flipper tab is smaller than I'm used to. But with the excellent action of this knife it needs to be no bigger. Bigger would be overkill and make it more wide in the pocket. Where this knife has a minimal pocket presence cuz it is so narrow. Pretty thin too.This review is in comparison to my 80 some folders I have. Spyderco, Benchmade, Kizer, Civivi, Cold Steel, CRKT, others are all in my collection. This is my current favorite. Flawless, no complaints and nothing to pick on.If it was not obvious by the review, I bought the carbon fiber handle with the Damascus blade model.Enjoy!!

Even though I have several CIVIVI and WE knives already, I was really surprised at how smooth the action is on this model. Just a bit of pressure and.. snick.. very smooth flip to a solid lock up. Overall the design is kind of an updated barlow. Slimmer. Locking. But has that spear point many of us grew up with. Very useful EDC and working trades design. Blade steel is a good all round choice. Steel frame adds weight but actually feels nice and solid in the hand. Easy 5 stars.

The Banneret is one of my favorites. Often called a gentleman's knife. It's slim profile and neutral ergos make for an excellent carry knife. Flipper deployment is almost effortless for a blade of this length. Frame lock and detent are excellent. Drop shutty blade. Love the micarta and black stone washed finish. Feels great in the hand. I replaced the stock pocket clip with a Civivi titanium clip. Its slimmer profile is perfect for this knife.

Excellent knife . I love the style, sorta old school with modern steel and a frame lock that works perfectly .Weight is nice , not to heavy but not cheap feeling , blade flies out with a simple finger flick . Razor sharp right outta the box .Civivi hit a home run with this one .

This is an amazing pocket knife. I waited almost too long to buy one. It is my understanding that the Civivi Banneret is a discontinued model as of Spring 2024. Take my advice.......Buy one! The Nitro V steel blade was razor sharp and perfectly centered out of the box. This is the third Civivi knife I've added to my every day carry folding pocket knife rotation and it also happens to be my favorite. The value for the money cannot be beat.

I wanted this knife but it was a bit outside my price range but the company discounted them by about 50% along with the voltaic and I bought them both. They have made excellent EDC knives the steel is great and sharpens real well though I don't have to sharpen it often. I believe they are now discontinued which is a shame and I'm glad I got them when I did.

While pulling it out of the box I had a wow moment. It was bigger than expected, in a good way. The heft and blade shape had me thinking outdoors and camping. The micarta patinas nicely. Some of the blacking on the aluminum bolster is already wearing off. A little soon then I'd expect, but I don't mind. I like the holes, makes it more fun the play with.
