Viviscal - Hair Supplements for Men - Pack of 60 Tablets (1 Month Supply)

I took these after chemo, and my hair grew back in abundance. Was it the tablets? I don't know. I doubt it, but the consultant didn't object, and I'm sure the various vitamins etc. did no harm !!

I experienced nausea, abdominal discomfort and a change in bowel habit - which I attribute to the fact that I don’t normally eat shellfish and I concluded that I seem to be intolerant of this supplement.

Have had only 1 tablet and within 3 hours an upset stomach and diarrhea, and stools gone very dark. Generally feeling awful. If this doesn't subside, even taking 1 tablet let alone 2 would be difficult. I'll update again once had more experience.Ok so now end of January. Haven't had a repeat of the initial stomach problems, mostly ok, but can tell it does have an effect on stools (particularly smell....). I've not noticed any improvement in growth yet, but hair loss seems to have reduced quite a lot, I can see this in the shower.

These have not been scientifically proven to promote hair growth for men (at least not by the standards required of pharmaceutical drugs). It is also unlikely to ever be subject to proper large scale double blind testing as it is too expensive and a negative result would be a marketing disaster. So instead the consumer is left dependent on celebrity endorsements, a test relying on the judgement of 50 young males and herbal remedy beliefs to judge whether this works or not.It is a very expensive regime to follow and they also say that you need to carry on the effects (if any).So should you use this? Well, the answer lies in whether you believe in herbal remedies. Of course, thousands of years of common sense and pseudo-scientific knowledge passed down the generations have helped Viviscal pick the natural ingredients that are known to promote healthy hair growth. But I am sceptical whether this is enough to counteract male pattern baldness so have stopped buying these.

I think the results for this product are going to vary based on genetics (male pattern baldness etc). For example if, like me, your dad and his dad suffered from baldness then chances are this isn't going to be enough to combat that. But if you follow genetics of thinning or slight receding this product is likely to work wonders. Unfortunately for me my hair continues to thin despite taking the tablets twice a day, perhaps it's slowed it down slightly but who knows. I'll give it a fair chance though and continue for the year and report back. Also I buy from Ebay, you can often get this for £25 including delivery!UPDATE:I continued taking the tablets for 2 years and it definitely slowed down the hair loss. I now use Finasteride instead and the results are much better. After 8 months Hair loss has near enough stopped and after a year people noticed quite a bit of regrowth at the crown. Just beware of the side effects. Hope this helps!

Seems legit.My hair doesn't like when i stop taking viviscal.It all starts in the inside.

Does it make your hair grow back? I'm not sure. I believe it stops or slow down the rate of hair loss. The thinning, bald patch is still there but it hasn't got any worse. Very expensive no matter what 'special offer' is available to you - £110 for 90 days use is the best I have got so far.
