BGPadded Clarinet Sling Neck Strap BG20LP

One of the best available in this price range.
Very comfortable, and easy to attach to a clarinet, even one without a hole on the thumb rest for a strap. The elastic is very well done, to allow small movements without removing the sling, but strong enough to support the clarinet easily. The sling is wide enough to be comfortable for extended playing and, although I personally prefer to wear it over a hoodie (largely due to my skin condition), the fabric is not unpleasant against the skin. The attachment wasn't that clearly described, so I have attached a photo of how it sets up on my 'travel' instrument, which isn't designed to take a sling. It is a very cleverly cut piece of leather which fits fairly firmly over the thumbrest, and leaves the thumbrest fairly unobstructed so you can hold in the same way as without a sling if you wish. I have not seen a standard clarinet I don't think this will fit. (if you are having difficulties, it may be easier if you unscrew and remove the thumb rest, slip the leather tab over it, then replace it on your instrument.)The length has a good range of adjustment, and would probably fit virtually evryone who is old/large enough to hold a standard Bb instrument correctly.Overall, very good, and at or near the best quality you could expect from this price range.

Bought for a 9 yr old boy who is quite long & tall but found the clarinet heavy when he first started to play it. It was well worth buying as it aided posture for the first couple of months of taking up the instrument. However, after this period he no longer used it as he got used to it & I guess became a little stronger after using the aid. It was a little expensive at £20 but it served the purpose & can always be resold. The downside was that it didn't come in any kind of pouch for storage & obviously can't live in the clarinet case or it would damage the clarinet. I made one in the end, but for the price, I would have expected a pouch.

Very good harness overall.
Great product. Very comfortable too, taking the weight of the instrument nicely. Works with Bass Clarinet and Tenor Sax for me.Only downside was that the string attachment was missing from the package. That said, I had it as a reconditioned item so not a huge surprise the part was missing.

Good product
Great way to take some of the weight. This isn't the elasticated version so it needs me to get it at the correct length to get the benefit. The strap is wide so its comfy at the back of your neck.

Good quality but not best suited to R13 prestige
Good quality neck strap. My only complaint is that the leather thumb rest attachment is the wrong shape fit an R13 Prestige and other Buffet thumb rests. Not bad enough to make it unusable but I'll need to be creative to adapt it.

A must have!
This is impossible to do without. How did I ever use my old one?!

:-)
Fab, jst as good as the old BG neckstrap I had. Though a better design and much tidier. The picture here is not the same as what they send. The picture is of the old one, but I think the new is better. Silver black goes much better with the clarinet than gold! Comfy, easy to use (tho you need to break in the leather bits) and arrives quickly.

Quite a good Product but.........
Quite a good product, but the leather tab does not stay on well - even with the rubber thumb rest thingy which fits over it. Had to Blue Tack it to the instrument in the end. It does help though and prevents my right thumb joint being as painful by relieving the weight.
