Turmeric Capsules 500mg with Black Pepper (BioPerine) - 90 Pack | Vegan

The product is (arguably) as described - but equally arguably, its described in a misleading way. It certainly misled me.Curcumin is the "new wonder product" & as such can be quite expensive. It exists naturally in the spice Turmeric, but at fairly low levels... around 50milligrams per spoonful (My guess, around 10mg per capsule).Thats fine to make curry... but to get the benefits of Curcumin, you need a Standardised Extract which will be 95% Curcumin active ingredient - normal dosage is one 1000mg capsule per day *of that*.When I read in the Product Title that this was "Turmeric Curcumin 500mg" I bought it thinking it was 500mg Curcumin capsules. My error - looking down to the bottom of the detailed description, it does say 500mg Turmeric... but having this in the Title description definitely misled me. After all, you dont buy tealeaves for the vitamin content, do you? Thats an equally small constituent... I havent complained or put in an "incorrect description" statement to Amazon as the amount of money is small, & the error mine... but I felt it worth putting this review in so others dont make my mistake.

The two stars are for the packaging. You get exactly what you order, so it doesn't seem fair to mark them down completely, purely on the basis that they didn't have any obvious medical benefit. It may be that some people buy these and obtain instant relief from their symptoms, and it's not for me to say they're wrong, but my wife and I both suffer from ongoing aches and pains and these made no difference at all. The only things that work are real over the counter anti inflammatory medicines such as Ibuprofen, but it's not good to take those long term so we really hoped this natural remedy would be an alternative. Sorry to say that it isn't, but if you have a different experience then good luck to you.

Noticing a difference, Not sure if its the Turmeric alone or combined with other changes I have made. I bought them due to the number of claims that turmeric can do improve your health. My skin is clearer and I'm hoping that they can help towards straighten out my hormone imbalance, Dose is between 1 and 3 a day. currently taking 1 but thinking about upping the dose,They certainly aren't doing any harm/Nice size capsule and easy to swallow

Really believe these are helping to relieve my joint pain
