Use as bottom and top coat. Tough and really effective. Helps grow my nails (no splitting) while nailpolish looking lovely.

I purchased Sally Hansen Double Duty In the hope that it would be a wonder product.It is marketed as an undercoat base coat and top coat and can be worn alone. I found if I used it as an undercoat/base-coat and then applied nail varnish and then applied it as a topcoat this meant that the nails would kind of congeal and the polish didn't last very long it was almost as if the topcoat melted the nail polish. Took ages to dry as well not helpful.Also I don't see that it would last very long or be good value for money - as soon as you've opened and began to apply the product starts to congeal inside the bottle. And application becomes difficult because the product has congealed.Used alone as a clear polish, function is okay but then again because the product congeals soon as you start using it it's not very helpful or pleasant to use. I also noticed that when I use this product for a couple of weeks on and off the quality of my nails started to deteriorate so I don't think it's healthy for the nails. Won't be purchasing again and still on the look for a perfect base coat and top coat that doesn't congeal.

Easy to apply and dries quickly. It definitely helped strengthen my natural nails.

Goes on and dries well. Easy to remove leaving no coloured varnish with this base coat, and as it's also a top coat, it helps stop the colour from peeling or chipping. Highly recommended.

This is my favorite top/base coat. its super shiny and lasts forever! I always have a bottle in my purse or in my manicure kit! I love Sally Hansen products they just work perfectly and at a great price too.

This is worth every penny.. As it gives such good coating both as a base and top coat.. Gives a natural shine to nails too.. Dries up quickly.. Best quality

... not so great as a top coat though. But using it as a base coat on my most often colourpainted natural nails, regularly, with SH "gel rescue mask" 1 night (between painting) has made my mature nails much healthier and stronger! I do recommend this one as a base coat, and also it is cheaper (and better) than many, more expensive, brands. If it would work just as good as a top coat, I would give a 5 star. The delivery was fast and the item was well packaged.
