A ration to cover vigorous activity for 8 hours. However, it contains approximately 3,000 calories, which is more than sufficient for a 24 Hour period in a normal situation. All products are ready to eat and can be eaten hot or cold. These rations include two ready-to-eat meals; US Army MREs only contain one main meal! All the meals are fully cooked and ready to eat. The main meals are packed in pouches that can be heated by immersing them in hot liquid (boil in the bag) or the contents can be poured into mess tins for heating.

Bought as an impromptu gift for my girlfriend, she loved it and enjoyed all the different snacks thoroughly. As described, the pack doesn't come with any type of "heater"...thought i'd mention that in case other people don't read it (like the guy in the previous comments).It's not an official military ration by any standards, but it's still a fairly cheap and tasty pack of food with a twist.

Yummy , fast and good quality !
Was fairly satisfied with the purchase and it came quicker than expected which is nice ! Although i was missing one item (minor snack not main) it did not change the quality which was excellent . I would recommend this seller and that product to anyone looking for long lasting food and yummy snacks !
