I was pleasantly surprised when this item arrived. They are of a much better quality than the ones I have purchased in the past from other retailers. The joining is a neat way of having a continuous length. The spikes are much taller. I am very pleased altogether with design of wall spikes, they will be efficient in stopping cats jumping up onto the fence and pigeons roosting on fences and gates thus making an utter mess with their droppings. So I have no hesitation in giving this item a high recommendation.

Decent product. Thumbs up.
This is a basic item that does what it needs to do. Sturdy material and easy to fit. Does a good job at keeping pigeons away from window and it doesn't make the house look like a prison.

Good Selections Windowsill Wall And Fence Spikes 5 Metre Pack (clear)
I bought this kit in August 2012 and forgot to review it back then.I can only say that personally I think it is a bit overpriced but comparable with similar products. We were having pigeon problems messing all down the fence panels so I screwed these along the top and YES they do work.(although we were fascinated to see the squirrels running along holding on the edges of the fence to avoid the spikes)They also deter cats from walking along the top of your fence - we had a real belly laugh when one regular offender started off as usual only to be stopped dead in it's tracks ........you could almost hear the thinking....as it wondered what to do.Anyway, the product worked fine and the pigeons got the message, problem solved - however, after 2 summers the sun has made it so brittle that it has broken and snapped in many places and very little of it remains now on the fence - I shall not be buying any more.

At last - no more pigeon poop - but they don't last long
We have a pergola under which is our garden table and chairs. A favorite place for pigeons, I was forever cleaning off the "end" result of their visits. These strips have sorted the problem totally. The spikes were straightforward to tack on and, though a little whiter than expected, I soon stopped noticing them. The spikes are stiff and quite long and we have not seen a pigeon on the pergola since. Can't understand the buyer who says it hasn't stopped their pigeons....they must be wearing boots! Highly recommended.Update to review: While these definitely keep the pigeons off (though one cheeky squirrel seems impervious to the spikes), I'm disappointed with the product's longevity. Last year - about 15 months after installing them, they started to break. I guess the weather makes the product more brittle and one good windstorm and several of them had broken off and smashed into little pieces on the patio below. They should definitely last longer than a year or so. We have just bought another batch of them to replace them, which is irritating. There must be a way of manufacturing them to be more weather-proof.One tip: my husband nailed the first batch in which he said was a nightmare. This time, he screwed them in - it being easier to get a screwdriver head in between the spikes.

Squirrels and Pigeons ... sadly and incredibly ineffective
We still get pigeons landing and sitting on the fence, maybe not a long and reduced repeat visits, but they still sit there once landed!Squirrels just walk over it, we have a 3m run, and they still go the entire length! No doubt less comfortably, but it does not stop them completely.I guess these vermin are hard core!OK, editing this a almost a year to the day later!Pigeons will and do land on them, yes to a lesser degree than pre-spike but this has not eliminated them. I guess the long metal style is the only true pigeon defeater.Squirrels - reduced traffic, but still they can and do continue!BUT the reason for the update, the plastic is of such POOR quality and LOW UV Resistance that the things are falling to bits, literally crumbling. It's such an eye sore I'll have to take the whole lot down.At first I thought someone had tried to climb over the fence, as about 2 strips vanished (about 4months ago - so 8 months after install). Then another. Then this week we had a horrific hail storm, and guess what, the plastic spikes fell apart all over the place. We have less than half remaining!!. No I did not screw them down too tightly, nor make extra holes! You can now just touch them and them fail apart. A bird landing would be enough for the strip to break.I notice others have also found this problem, so I guess it's not a one-off and it's poor quality material not resistant to UV light. Don't bother unless you want to clear up the mess in 12 months time, save your money and buy a decent solution.I will email the supplier and see what they say, but doubt I'll get a reply ...

Safe for cats
I was really worried about buying these, as they are to prevent my cats from jumping on a particular shelf and the last thing I want to do is hurt my fur babies. However I need not have worried. The solid plastic spikes have slightly flat tops, designed not to break the skin. They work wonderfully as a deterrent and are very easy to install, thanks to them coming in strips.

anti-cat garden spikes
This is an excellent product very easy to fit and represents good value for money. Delivery was very prompt. The spikes are quite sharp and would prevent an intruder from getting a grip. We have nine cats locally and since fitting the spikes only one (with cast iron paws) has attempted to get into our garden
