Better than expected but one issue annoys
I took a chance and ordered this with few reviews. Overall it’s turned out pretty good. The frames are solid and wide (I was worried about them fitting on my big Mellon head but they are amply wide enough) and while the arms aren’t spring mounted, the curl design works equally well to provide the right amount of flex to remain snug yet comfortable. The’re light weight but not too light. The nose bridge is great and adjustable. Now for the important part…. The flip up lenses. I did take these to my optometrist and got full prescription lenses which was no problem at all. They were able to get them set up as any normal frames. Before I dropped them off to have them sent off for the lenses, the hinge on the lenses was very tight. So much so I worried that I’d be smudging them with my fingers every time I needed to raise or lower them since I might need to use too much finger tip. But after I got them back, the hinge had loosened significantly either just naturally or by the techs who installed the lenses. Now I wouldn’t call them flimsy but they will creep down if I nod my head abruptly. I’d like to tighten them but I don’t see a way to do that. The lenses I have are pretty standard poly so they aren’t heavy glass. If the seller sees this I would love to hear from them on that possibility.Overall I still endorse these frames. They do just what I wanted which was to be able to go without correction without having to take the glasses off my head.

Glasses
Quality was great

Hinges have little friction. Lens swing freely after a few days.
I read without glasses, but need glasses to see longer distances. I saw these “flip-up” frames and had to try them. The styling was great, but the functionality is, unfortunately, poor. The hinges lose stabilizing friction within a few days. That is, the lenses swing freely. As one’s head angle tips forward to look downward, the lenses swing away from one’s eye’s because the hinges do not have enough friction to keep the lenses stationary, close to one’s face. Gravity easily overpowers what little friction existing in the hinges, and I am using ultra-light hi-index lenses at -2.5. If only the friction were greater, these would be fantastic for me. However, it appears that the price I paid for the frames and the custom prescription lenses has been wasted. Perhaps I received a rare dud, an anomaly. If so, I hope the manufacturer can send a replacement frame to me.

Loose flip up
When in down position will not stay. It keeps coming up just enough to loose focus. Frame is a little wide. Also no bottom rim like in pics. It is plastic string. So prepare for more expensive lens that are shatter proof.
