Mandatory purchase for families with young childeren
Families with young children should simply buy this high quality educational, entertainment casual game platform for your Ipads. Think about how much time you children waste on pointless apps and Youtube on your Ipads.Osmo offers them challenging games that in an intuitive manner at least teach them some maths, reading or coding skills, depending on what extension set/app you buy.The sets are expensive but worth the investment and only require you to download the apps for the various games. We have had our Osmo sets around the house for quite a few years, first for our daughter now for our son. The won’t play with it every week. But really appreciate it when they pull out their Osmo games and then play with it for several days. The sets are very well presented, come in solid card board boxes. The plastic storage containers that are available, are quite handy as well as we tend to take it along on our frequent weekend trips/ holidays. The numeral and word games come with card board pieces that are a bit more sensitive and can get lost.Highly recommended.

Educational, fun and great quality.
I had never heard of this and stumbled across it one day. Having looked at the videos and read reviews, I felt the educational value was excellent and so bought this for my daughter’s 6th birthday. Because of the education aspect, we decided to give her this early and it was very well received. She especially loves the Numbers game and the Monster game. We just bought an A4 size white board and pens for the Monster game and saved ourselves a lot of money, since the app is free to download. My daughter loves Osmo so much that we have also bought Pizza Co and Coding Awbie. She used her own birthday money to buy Coding Jam.The base is good as the parts that support your iPad come out and reverse, so it takes older iPads as well as newer ones. There’s a little red bit with a mirror in, which sits over your camera and this allows the app to see what tiles are being used. Really great feature. This is so easy to use and easy to set up. The apps are good quality and free. I haven’t come across any in app purchases which is a godsend these days.Highly recommend this and so does our 6 year old!

Great for kids
Work on a white background. The camera of your device is used to recognise the bits provided and the work with the online games. For example in one of the simpest, you show the camera the letter tiles missing from the word on the screen (accompanying picture giving a big clue). Some of the games, like letters, numbers and tangram need the tiels and pieces supplied. However there is also Newton and Masterpiece, which can be done with a piece of paper. It's a great way for kids (and some adults) to interact with their ipad, and the games with it.My top tip, as at the start though is to use a plain white background. Oddly when you play on a blue tablecloth it sort of works, but not as reliably.

Four Stars
The grandkids love it, but some the spelling and maths are a bit to easy for the older ones

Beautiful, fun and exceptional quality.
This is an amazingly beautiful piece of kit. Everything about the games, accessories and even the packaging is well considered, fun, intuitive and easy to use. I was particularly impressed by how quickly and accurately the games recognise the game pieces placed in front of the iPad. The children love playing the games and to be honest I am a little obsessed too!

Amazing!
This is the best thing that I have ever purchased. It was the biggest hit in the house this Christmas. My kids range from 3 years old to 10 years old and each of them love Osmo. My 10 year old adores playing Masterpiece and Words. My 7 year old loves Numbers and Newton. And my three year old loves Osmo Monster. I even love it myself. It is a genius way of supporting kids learning through technology while still enabling them to manipulate objects themselves and use their hands. I'm saving up to get the Pizza Co and Coding games next!!!

Stick to a good board game.
Need very good illumination. Tangram is very difficult to play as the game keeps on losing track.Price is ridiculously expensive. It's just a mirror and an Ipad stand. Everything else is software and cardboard letters, numbers or shapes.Won't keep your children playing for long.

Brilliant system
I bought this for my six year old grandson as an addition to the Osmo Genius kit which included numbers, words, tangram etc. He loved it. It is challenging but the first stages are very manageable and build confidence so that a child can really understand logic skills and be very pleased with their results. The game seems to have a vast number of "stages" so that as a child progresses the challenges become more difficult. A very suitable product for a child who wants to learn, wants to use IPads etc, and wants to be independent.
