Brought this when it was reduced . It arrived on time and was a very good build nothing to complicated, very easy for a child to build. Will go well with the rest of the collection

This is recommended for 8-14 year olds. It's probably about right. I have a Star Wars mad, lego mad, six and a half year old, so despite the advised age you would have thought it would be a home-run for him but to be honest he wasn't that taken with this. It's obviously at a whole different scale from all his other lego stuff and it was also a little tricky for him to build. It was much more appreciated by his old dad. I think this series is very much intended to be more a set of 'collectibles' than 'toys', and to that end it serves its purpose well. Just be aware if you're buying for kids this is not really as interchangeable and compatible with other lego sets (i.e. you will certainly not want to take it apart and dump it in a big lego tub - it is far too custom!)
