Appears ot be a well made product with a good manufacturer warranty Bought for workshop electrical compliance when using 15m extensions

Used for a hedge trimmer cord. Cut the cord, the breaker worked. Otherwise, I'd be well mad. Worth having for anything you are doing involving something on the end of an extension lead or not.

This seems to do the job for a reasonable price.

This has been a life saver, quite literally. Installed an outside socket, sealed the box but water still got I. Somehow and the RCD plug protected the circuit. I couldn’t work out why it had tripped until I took the outside socket apart and found water inside. The socket is going back but this is getting place of honour, back in the plug socket where the outside socket will be plugged in.

Used this for a handy fast spin dryer as it sometimes if not equally balanced, ends up tripping the RCD in the fuse box. Even with this fitted, despite showing it works by the RCD coming into action it still didn't stop the RCD in the fuse box tripping also. But I'm not able to blame this unit as I must put it down to the house fuse box RCD still detecting a safety overload. Temporarily in a rented property so not going to request mains test to prove the point. But this unit seems well assembled and appears of quite decent quality. It also had better reviews than other similar RCD's which is why I chose it. Maybe later it will prove itself of full benefit when using it for a garden power tool.
