does not need power supply. You can connect it to computer but you need an adapter as the plug it comes with is to large to connect to the computer headphone socket.

Does this mic connect to male XLR cable

As with all mics, you plug the female end of your XLR cable into the microphone and then plug the male end of the XLR cable into your mixer/interface/recorder/amp.

No, but as on/off switches for mics are considered "evil," I would not worry about it. Pro mics don't have on/off switches. For best results avoid XLR->USB directly. Use XLR->MIXER/XLR Interface with USB to computer. The XLR to Mixer/XLR interface will almost always have a much better A/D converter than an inline USB. If you're on a budget, UMC202/404HD are an excellent choice.

You’ll need to plug this in using a 3 pin XLR to Jack cable. Just look up microphone cable. Then plug that into an amp. Switch on and speak/sing. Your away!
