Product Description English Tea Shop’s vast spectrum of gourmet teas will always leave you cheerfully surprised- from the classic English Breakfast Tea to the titillating Tisanes, all packed in lush Tea bags or within the most luxurious gift tins! English Tea Shop is built around the concept of Value Sharing. In fact, ETS believes that value shared is value doubled and it directly links sustainable development with long-term growth. At our company, we do this by applying the principle of Creating Shared Value (CSV); a revolutionary approach developed by Harvard Business School professor Michael Porter that businesses such as our own are putting into practice with exciting results in terms of growth. Through the plethora of projects we launched in rural Sri Lanka, we encourage our farmers to relive the old aged farming practices. Our teas and ingredients come from such small farmers in limited quantities, grown without chemical fertilizers or pesticides. We are committed to recognize and to tell the world how these small farmers make a huge impact on sustaining the planet’s natural ecosystem for many generations after us. We pay them a premium on top of the Fairtrade price to make sure they can farm in the most sustainable way possible. Not only that, through Creating Shared Value concept, we take measures to uplift the wellbeing of the farmers and their families. Once the ingredients come into our manufacturing facility, our team of experts combines them to create just the right balance of yummy flavours. After that our tea is hand packed, reducing our carbon footprint. From there it’s a hop, skip and jump over the sea and across the globe - into your cup. Ingredients Organic and Fairtrade Rooibos

Get a one way on the Rooibos
What a beautiful cup of tea this makes. I don't have any direct comparison as this was my first toe dip into the wonderful land of Rooibos (and this is from anon tea drinker) Let's get one thing straight. I HATE tea. Well in the traditional 2 sugars and milk type tea. Even green tea to me is unpalatable without adding some lemon or lemon oil but this stuff is a far cry from that puddle water. It's refreshing, subtly sweet and as an added bonus this particular one is organic. I can't get enough of it which is great considering all it's health properties. It also makes a lovely iced tea for on the go drinking. Just make sure it's in a glass drinking bottle. Pointless going organic if you intend filling the planet up with plastic garbage.

Taste-tea
So here's a thing. I used to hate Rooibos tea, then about 2 years ago on the advice of a friend I went back to it. After a couple of cups I started to appreciate its flavour, but I was only drinking the ones you could buy in the supermarket. I decided to try something a bit different. This one has more depth of flavour and from the first cup I was smitten. It's well-balanced, flavoursome and beats the better known brands hands down. I'll definitely be back for more.

Yummy
Delicious tasting Rooibos! Can make several cups from the same leaves throughout the day. Today I experimented with halving the amount of "leaves" I use for the brew and it still resulted in delicious Rooibos if not more so! Therefore it does represent fair value. If you use a mesh tea ball type brewing instrument you can leave it in the mug, as Rooibos does not overbrew - one of the reasons I love it.

Top rate tea in attractive tin
This is my favorite English Tea Shop product. Fresh, vibrant and rich tasting. Better than other organic rooibos teas I have had before.

tin is nicer than in the picture
I actually bought this for the tin as I am a regular Rooibos drinker and wanted a nice cannister to store it in.I was very pleased with it. It was actually nicer than in the picture (more orange than red in colour).I have yet to try the tea but doubt I will be dissappointed

Wrong tea in the tin second time around
The first time I bought this is was fantastic: the best rooibos I've ever tasted. The second time I bought it, it wasn't rooibos! The foil packet contained some other tea - some kind of fruit tea I think - very sweet smelling. I don't mind fruit tea, and I'm drinking it, but it's not rooibos. I'm going to order again and hope I get the right tea in the tin next time!

Leaf Rooibos tea
Having been drinking Rooibos tea in bags for a few years but not had any for awhile. I decided to try the leaf tea. I am on my firist cup as I write this review. Wow this tea is amazing. It is smooth without the bitter taste you get with the bag rooibos. I will be buying more of this tea.
