I bought this for trimming ear hair. I don't need to use it for nose, beard or eyebrow which this device can also be used for, so I can't comment on those uses. This is my first trimmer and didn't really know what to expect. Thankfully it's very easy to use in the ear and doesn't require too much brain power, but don't expect the 158 page manual to be any help either. It's not awkward to hold or manoeuvre. There is no hidden technique just get on with it. Results are good and surprisingly smooth. Better than the trimmer at my local hair dressers, that one always leaves my ears with a prickly feel. I just thought I had very thick ear hair. Seems easy to clean and you have 3 ways to do it, water wash, jet wash, or simply the cleaning brush. What's in the box? The trimmer itself with a protective cap, a cleaning brush, a 158 page manual (9 pages in English) coupled with a 76 page guarantee (1 page in English). Those both weigh more than the device itself. Finally the item description claims this to be a "Wet and Dry" trimmer. Nowhere on the box or in the manual does it mention that this can be used in the shower, with a wet face or with any creams etc... The model I received was ER-GN30-K (don't know where the 503 went). The mention of water is for cleaning. What's more annoying is the UK Panasonic website (at time of writing) has no information about this model. So I wouldn't buy this if you wanted to use it in the shower, I don't need to just for ear hair. Overall it's easy to use, easy to clean, good results and a very good price.

Good does the job

I was in need of a new nostril hair reducing device. Saw this. It's well priced. As good as quality you'd expect for this price. Size is good. No more tickley nostril hairs once again!

I bought this 4 times over a period of about 4 years.. So you can see it doesn't last more than a year! When it works, it works very well but it is not all durabile. Wouldn't be buying for the 5th times 😐!

Have used one for many years and just purchased a new one. I use mine for removing hair in ears, nose and beard line control. Brilliant product for home or away use. Arrived very quickly Great price and recommend

I have had this nose trimmer a few weeks now and have used it often. It does work, unlike others that I have owned in the past. It must be kept clean. The cleaning position function is, in my mind a gimmick. It is better to unscrew the top and pull cutter out carefully then run under a warm tap. Leave out to dry for a short time then re assemble. The supplied brush is useful. A case would have been handy. It sounds like all nose trimmers, in the fact that it sounds as though it is going slow and labouring. More than likely because all the nose trimmers I have used run on one small AA battery. Two batteries would probably give them more of a grunt, but increase the size. The Panasonic seems to have a slightly different cutter design, and I think this is what gives it the edge over previous nose trimmers I have owned. Obviously the cutters will get blunt over a period of time. It says on the leaflet that spares are available but this appears to be directed to the USA. Hopefully this machine will be keeping my nose clear of hair for a few years. A decent cutter for the price.

My husband was very happy with this item. He has had one before but lost a small part and he has been trying to replace it. He uses it all the time. Battery life is good and he is pleased with the attachments that come with it. It is light weight and easy to use.

It is great for nose hair, I haven't had it tug on hairs a single time, it's gentle but does a very good job, especially compared to the old Braun I used. The thing I'm most impressed with however is how effective it is for eyebrows, I wasn't really expecting this but it's the best tool I've tried to trim eyebrows so far.

さすがパナソニック！鼻毛エチケット用に買いました。前はフィリップの３０００円くらいのものを使っていて解体して洗っていたら組付けが悪くなり、３０００円位だったから買いなおそうかと思ったらゼロが１つ増えて３万円くらいになっていてビックリして諦めましたｗ 深剃りできて良い商品だったのに残念ですｗ 操作は簡単ON、OFFスイッチだけ！先端の銀色の横の溝に入った鼻毛なんかをカットしてくれます。どんなに押し付けても肌が切れる事は絶対（多分）ありません！また逆にどんなに押し付けても根本まで綺麗にきれることもまたありませんｗ しかし十分短く切れるので鼻毛が飛び出すとか外から見えるとかはありません。 しかも剃っている時はカットされるとジョリジョリ？みたいな音が明らかにして、カットされている時と、されていない時がハッキリわかるのも良いです。色々と先端の横溝の位置を変えながら廻して、ジョリジョリ音が無くなったらほぼカット完了です。 手入れも簡単。水の吐き出し口を開けた状態で、先端に流水を当てれば、水の吐き出し口を通って内部まで水洗いが出来ます。が！解体組み立ても簡単なので私は解体して部品を洗って組みなおしています。 長く使えて、値段も高過ぎず十分妥当で良い商品です。もし寿命がきたらリピートします。 どこぞのフィ〇〇プスみたいに良い商品だからといきなり鬼値上がりしない事を祈りますｗ
