Is this a mechanical or a quartz.

It is a quartz movement and seems to be a very nice watch. The only problem for me is that the bracelet is to small being a man. It should be fine though for a lady. I did ask the supplier if they could supply me with some extra links but they said they could not. They did however offer to supply me with another bracelet at a discount, but they did not say how much.

Does it have a stretchy type bracelet?

Yes it does which is what I required. It's a really good clear watch.

Is the band strap adjustable at home?

It's an elasticated band...... adjusts automatically to every wrist.
