just what i needed - great value
Haven't taken this to a gig yet but first impressions are that it's surprisingly good. Lighter than I thought yet feels sturdy. Very pleased. I bought it to use with my Bose S1 Pro PA speaker because whilst I often use it on the floor as a monitor along with my Bose L1 1S, and on it's own on a normal height speaker stand for small gigs, later this month I'm doing a wedding ceremony outside - without a marquee/gazebo (against by better judgement!). I'm taking as little as possible for the outdoors bit in case of downpour so needed to keep everything light and minimal. This is perfect for my Bose S1 Pro. It'll keep it out of dirt, dust, damp grass and insects etc and hopefully produce a better sound not sitting on a hard surface. Also, I'll hear it better and so will the guests sitting for the wedding ceremony. Quick and easy to get everything inside for the Drinks Reception connected up to the main system. Now this does actually go surprisingly high if you want it although of course it's less stable then. Be careful if your speaker stand hole isn't in the middle of your speaker. With the Bose S1 Pro the hole is to the back meaning there is proportionally more weight to the front. For those new to this lark, this means of the 3 speaker stand legs, make sure you have one leg directly under the front weight of the speaker (if it's front heavy) rather than over 2 legs. I am experimenting with it on it's highest setting. Whilst it's a great wee stand, it does feel like it might tip with a front heavy speaker when set on high so I've wrapped some sports ankle weights around the bottom of the stand for peace of mind. Perfect. When set up like this, the middle of the speaker is at chest height for me and I'm 5' 6". So that's your highest if you're wondering. There are height selection holes in the main pole. You secure in place with a pin through side to side, and there's a secondary pin the other side which seems to work well. There's 2 screw type wheels to secure overall height positions - but I'd probably not screw those in too tight as they're plastic. Over all, great buy as my main speaker stand is much bigger and heavier. Will update if any problems

Really great Speaker stand
I bought this speaker stand because due to the fact that now I perform on my own, I had to go for a smaller speaker, and especially when I busk I had to spread the sound more. I now have a Bose speaker and it works very well with this speaker stand. It is light enough for me to carry in my shopping trolley, but sturdy enough to keep my expensive speaker safe. The only negative would be that there is a little cap on the top, which tends to stay inside of the speaker, and that protection is necessary so that nothing goes inside the tube and no one gets a nasty cut on the sides of the tube. Maybe it should have been glued to the stand? It folds quite small too!PS - I read a number of reviews saying that the legs wouldn't open wide enough to be stable..... they actually do but it is not easy to do it, so you need to keep stretching them and I don't even know whether I have opened them to the max yet. Maybe when I use it more, stretching the legs will be easier!

WOW so surprised
These are so sturdy and supportive. Used indoors and outdoors. Great for our Mackie speakers and projector. As soon as the first arrived we ordered the 2nd straight away. I've spent more on other stands at double the price that are not as good as these.

Reasonable value item
Fairly sturdy speaker mounts. Only criticism is that the feet should be angled for a more full contact with the floor....

In that state it is all pretty strong. At the end of the day
The tubes, from which it is made, are plenty strong enough. The only real limitation on its stability is the span of the legs which is about 22" between two adjacent legs. The disappointing thing about the stand is that the fittings are made from plastic. I fear that overtightening these, particularly the top one that holds the telescopic extension in place, could result in it splitting. I actually removed the top tube because I want it to always be short (creating problems mating with a 35mm hole) but there is a pin that can be used to ensure that it does not sink back into the the lower, wider tube. If I were using this I would want to make a hole all the way through either the plastic collar or the lower wider tube so that the pin passed through the upper narrower tube and the lower wider tube so that it held the upper tube in place and didn't just stop it from sinking. The lower plastic fitting on the base of the stand is of more concern to me. I decided to drill a hole through the plastic fitting and through the tube. I then put a bolt through this and put a wing nut on the end. That way I don't actually need to rely on tightening up plastic. In that state it is all pretty strong. At the end of the day, it is really cheap. If it dies I can buy another.

The sensitive equipment arrived on time and in the appropriate protective packaging.
Thus far I have only used one of the wireless microphones whilst singing with our 8 piece amateur band. It seemed to work in a fairly enclosed space satisfactorily. It was easy to assemble and to pair up wirelessly with the speaker I recently purchased. Therefore, after only limited use (these reviews come far too early to really assess items such as this over a period of time and in different conditions) I am very happy with my purchase.

Ideal and Versatile Swall venue
This is a very useful lightweight and purpose built stand for Studio Monitoring or Small Music Venue, it is as good as any other available product for this purpose. It will sit at the height of 5'-6" (165cm) when speaker is loaded. I am using a pair of Alto TS-210 Speakers with this stand and for me this is tailor made. This is not meant to be used for a Big Concert heavy Venue but for a solo artist or use in a Piano Bar is a welcome contribution. I am going to use an additional Stand for mounting a 90 watt Keyboard Amp which has a Bottom Mount for use with a Stand. Final Word I would consider choosing more towards lightweight than heavyweight especially considering Health and Safety issues and overloading due to the weight and size of equipment you intend to use.

Sturdy medium short pa stand, good value
These stands represent very stable and sturdy value for pa and speaker use. Far better than the price might suggest. Recommended.
