NETGEAR 18-Port Gigabit Ethernet Smart Switch (GS716Tv3) - 16 x 1G, Managed with 2 x 1G SFP, Desktop or Rackmount and Limited Lifetime Protection

NETGEAR network equipment and reliability for my home networking projects are 2nd to none. I've used other switches in the past but still come back to these for performance, configuration (being managed) and being ideal for in home networking. My personal LAN speeds via server testware verify this being bang on spec. Being rack mount or shelf this sits well in my comms cabinet. Delivery and price are excellent all round and I can recommend this product.

I bought this to replace an ageing Dell managed switch and it has worked well for over a year. I does what I need to support VLANs and also port mirroring for test purposes.

This is a solid and reliable network switch with a decent amount of configurability.One down side I've recently come across is that it does not quite work properly with some newly purchased BT Whole Home WiFi disks.Although the mesh WiFi provided by the disks works fine the Android management app and in disk HTTP app cannot see the other disks so each disk would have to be managed separately. When I connected the disks to a cheap TP-LINK TL-SF1005D switch the management app and in disk HTTP app can see all the disks at the same time.

It boosted my network. It needs some reading and searching if you want to enable stuff like link aggregation, jumbo frames, etc. but as soon as you do works like a charm!

Soon after buying this 16 port, to compliment the switch, I have subscribed to higher broadband speed.Now we are talking business.

Vraiment optimal pour une gestion à domicile un peu poussée.Gestion QoS / Contrôle parental sur tranches horaires / filtrage MAC / vLAN / redirection DNS / AdHole / Firewall / VPN / Port Forwarding / Anti DDoS etc...Tout ce dont nous avons besoin à la maison sans passer par 50 logiciels avec des abonnements qui coûtent un bras chaque année et permettant aussi de libérer de la ressource pour les terminaux informatiques reliés au réseau privé.

Un switch con posibilidad de instalación en rack, con 16 puertos Gigabit ethernet + 2 puertos SFP, con interfaz de gestión web completa y totalmente silencioso al no tener ventiladores, y por este precio... no se que haces leyendo esta reseña todavía. ¡Cómpralo!

Ho avuto l'esigenza di rimpiazzare un mio ormai obsoleto switch che probabilmente non era piu' compatibile con i modem moderni forniti dai ISP o dalle compagnie telefoniche. Per il momento l' ho semplicemente collegato a tutti i cavi della rete senza effettuare la minima configurazione. Mi riservero' di farlo piu' in la' nel tempo: dopo aver letto le istruzioni incluse nella scatola, non credo sara' difficile andare un po' piu' a fondo con le funzionalita' del software di controllo installato in questo Smarthub.Il prodotto e' affidabile e funziona bene da solo, senza aver bisogno di configurare alcunche' e ho rislto tutti i problemi di conflitto IP che erano emersi da quando e' stato cambiato il modem. Tuttavia, se volete solo un buono switch e non avete alcuna esigenza di controllo vi cosiglierei di risparmiare qualche decina di euro e prendere un prodotto equivalente, ma " Non Manageable".

Gekauft am 27. März 2015 - bis jetzt (11.08.2022) im Einsatz. Funktioniert seitdem ununterbrochen ohne irgendwelche Probleme. Werde allerdings zu einem neuen wechseln, da der Stromverbrauch zwar nicht so hoch ist, es aber heutzutage Switches gibt, die nur ein Drittel der Leistung von diesem hier aufnehmen.
