Sturdy Covers AC Defender - All Season Universal Mesh Air Conditioner Cover - AC Cover for Central Units-L8

I ordered the 32" even though my top is about 33" across both ways. The 32" is clearly enough to cover just the opening and help keep unwanted debris out of the unit. Install is not difficult but depending on where your unit it located it can get a bit tricky to hook on those bungie cords. The quality of the mesh is also noticeable.

My two youngest boys (4 and 2) suddenly took a fascination to the top of the AC unit this summer. I immediately started to research safety options and found this cover. It has definitely worked for my children (I know that every child is different, and so I am not going to advocate that this cover be used as a safety device suitable for all kids- it just happened to work well with my kids). The cover is durable and easy to attach over the top of our unit. The boys lost all interest in the top of the unit. The AC Unit runs just as efficiently as ever as the cover still allows for great air flow. The cover also has been great at keeping leaves and chaff from entering into the unit.

I'm a person who likes to handle things before I buy them. Gone are the good ole days, when you could do that. Now we just hope for the best. Sometimes it doesn't work out as you'd like; sometimes it's a whole lot better than you thought. This was one of those times! I was more than pleased with the product. Seems to be very well made and looks nice and should do a really good job of keeping leaves and pine needles out. Only issue is that it does a good job of catching freezing rain, sleet, and snow and forming a solid mass of ice which you then need to go out in the weather and break loose. Once the rest of the leaves are down in a couple weeks, I might just remove it until March.

Got a new A/C for the new house, a real tall unit with a wide-open center. It was already filling up with falling leaves ( and small twigs) from the oak trees, within a week of installation, so I bought this cover. It stopped the debris from falling in, perfectly, and I just swipe my hand over it to clear it. Since our weather is very changeable here, one day we'll be using the heater, and the A/C on the following day; it just made sense to get the All-Season cover for it, as it flows air very freely. Installed it in a minute, with the included bungee cords. A good buy at a low price, IMO.

Love this AC cover. Just had a new unit put in this summer and this cover is great for keeping leaf debris out of the inside of the unit. My HVAC guy told me not to cover the unit completely as that can cause mold to grow inside the AC unit This cover won't do that as it still lets the air circulate around the motor and blades. Great purchase.

Order 2" bigger than you measure!! Keeps leaves out better than it did with out. Not a bad product just order bigger than you need.
