After being resurrected by a sinister entity, Art the Clown returns to Miles County where he targets a teenage girl and her younger brother on Halloween night. Review: Great - Great movie Review: He's back - The second entry of the terrifier series has a move polished look and a stronger story this time. And introduces a new horror heroine with Sienna Shaw being the Tommy Jarvis to Art's Jason Voorhees. The story has bigger and more personal stakes this time as Art targets The Shaw family mainly Sienna and her little brother. With a glimpse into Art's origins and the mystery of his supernatural power. That sets up the third film perfectly.

An instant horror classic
Love the first Terrifier movie. I was excited to hear the sequel was coming out. If you are a fan of the 80's slasher/gore movies, you'll be pleasantly pleased with this movie. The story is pretty good. We are given some teases, not hints, teases of Art The Clown's past/origin. But that really goes nowhere. The other characters are fun and likeable. The creepy little girl clown is left as an unknown. Why is she there? Who is she? What is she to Art? We're never told. The kills are just as gruesome as you'd expect. Maybe more so. Especially, the key kill scene. Not as gruesome, or having the same gut punch, as the sawing in half the blond gir,l in the first movie. But gruesome all the same. Art takes a special sense of glee in torturing the best friend of the lead girl. Terrifier 2, starts right where the first ends. If you are squeamish at all, this not a movie for you. This is a very violent, visceral movie. One watches it FOR the violence/special effects. It's not high brow cinema. Terrifier 2 is strictly a fun to watch experience. Art The Clown, as in Terrifier, still makes no sound, has no dialogue. This is definitely a horror fans' film.

Better than the first, but still could use some improvement
I would say the sequel is a step up from the first. The first one waited until the end to say there was a supernatural element to the movie, almost like they forgot to mention it. The second learned from that and did a better job at weaving the story together and developing the characters a bit. I wouldn't say it is the best plot, but it made a better attempt. The acting was pretty decent, the gore was 80's style and Art does well at being creepy. Like the first one, the second follow suit with an ending that doesn't really make much sense. It was good enough to make me want to watch the 3rd. I will say, and I don't know if it was intentional, but I liked the dream sequence and the nightmare on elm street vibes it was giving off. Are Art and Freddy the same entity?

I bought this because it had some extra special features compared to my UK version. The slipcase was a nice touch although it was a little damaged/scuffed on the edges but I managed to fix it using a sharpie. Mainly because the packaging they send it in is quite poor and has no protection. The blue case and disc feel really cheap and lightweight compared to my UK release. All in all I would recommend it for the price.
