Really like this product, it's not a magic bullet or anything like that but it really helps block out background noise in my very open plan house. Also love that it's portable. Only issue is I can only turn the night light on when the machine isn't plugged in, we leave ours plugged in all the time and for some reason the light won't turn on. It's no big deal just need to unplug turn the light on and then plug in again, it can just be a pain to do when holding a baby. But still worth the money.

I don't often write reviews but I wanted to share my experience with other sleep deprived parents. I think over the last year I have bought most white noise products on the market for my baby. We have Ewan the dream sheep, my hummy, lulla doll. None of these compare to this product! All of the others I have tried have failed as either the batteries run out in the middle of the night or a nap causing bubs to wake-up or they just aren't loud enough to block out other noises or they turn themselves off after a period of (usually when you need them most!). I was using my kindle with a white noise app playing during all naps and at night so I knew white noise definitely worked for my bubs. However, this meant I never had access to it when I needed it as it was always being used to play white noise. Also, it seems to be killing my battery because of so much heavy use - a very expensive white noise product! So, in the hopes of getting my kindle back I decided to try this product and it is a life saver!! I have it plugged in all night so there's no risk of the battery running down. The volume options are great as you can have it quite loud (obvs not too close to bubs ears!) and it really drowns out other noises. For daytime naps the battery doesn't run out as long as it's plugged in over night. It's also very portable as it's so small and can be hung on the pushchair whilst out and about. My bubs has just started nursery and was napping poorly without white noise so I take it in his bag and the staff love it as it's helping other kids get undisturbed naps too! If you know white noise works for your baby then this is definitely the one to buy - it'll soon pay for itself as it's fully rechargeable so you're not spending a fortune on batteries. Here's to more peaceful nights sleep for us all!

We’ve now had two of these and both have been faulty in the same way. The first lasted only 4 months before the battery life decreased to a matter of minutes, then it had another fault that stopped it turning off. Finally, all the buttons on it stopped working, meaning that unless it was plugged in constantly (making noise 24/7) it didn’t work. Marpac eventually agreed to send a replacement product (which arrived over a month after they agreed to send a replacement). Unfortunately the replacement has experienced exactly the same issues but in less than a month. It’s disgusting how such a simple, yet pricey, white noise machine has so many fatal flaws. Will not be buying again as can’t trust the build quality.

We bought this to soothe my son on long car journeys...unfortunately didn't work. However, great for when he's sleeping on his cot! It goes on and on until the power dies out which on one hand is great but on the other can be excessive...a timer would have been better I think. But I can't fault it, the sounds are soothing - particularly the sea waves. Also when its facing away from you, you can't really hear it which is great for the car when my.other child is watching a DVD. Good size, good volume range. Can't fault it.

I really like this device. My baby is 8 months old. I debated whether to get it or not but I’m so glad we did. We were using apps and you tube clips on our phones and I pad and they were so hard to sleep with. This is so much more subtle and I find it helps me to sleep too. I love the one with the waves. It’s soothing. I’ve tested and it really does block sound out. We are bringing it on holidays and I’m hoping my baby will find it easy to sleep in different locations with this reassuring familiarity. I like the night light. It’s a really well made quality device. Battery life seems good. Apparently it will run out much faster with the light - something to be aware of.

Brilliant product. Does what it says on the tin and is small enough to be taken out with us when my little one will be sleeping in his pram. Only downside is that it occasionally freezes so doesn't turn off, however if you let the battery life run out, it works as normal again after charging.

The volume is really good, you can choose whatever suits you and your baby. I didn't believe I can cope with sleeping with it on as my LO has her crib in our room for now however, it actually is soothing for me too lol and blocks off dad's snoring a bit! It has a lock on option, so once you set the volume and the sound you like (choice of 3) you can press and hold for 3 seconds both the S (sound) button and the Shut down/Turn on button and it locks in place your choice of volume and sound (also very good setting for later on when you are having some inquisitive fingers of baby lol). It also has a warm light led that can be turned on by double tapping the Turn on/Turn off button. It really is a fantastic product! You charge it with the USB cable it comes with and it's good to go for 8 hours. I personally have it plugging in overnight next to my LO's crib, so during the day it lasts with no issues. It has the plastic ring that is easy to attach to anything you'd like, car seat, pram, cot as well as it's easy for you to hold it in your hand while rocking baby. In comparison, Ewan the sheep deluxe is too quiet and it is a hustle to reach the settings as they are under velcro. I got the sheep gifted to me so I'm really glad I didn't spend the money on it because it is no good for us.

I was a bit sceptical if this would work for my little one since other similar products were more of a gimmick. We used a normal speaker and played white noise through that, but it didn't seem to do the job. However after buying this, my little one really took to it and calmed down instantly. There is 3 sounds and you can adjust volume as you wish. The sound level could be really low or really high and it's still effective. It also have night light that can be turned on for night feeds which is a very warm yellow. It was also very portable with the hanging hook that comes with it. We used that on many walks in the pram. Other have mentioned how the battery runs out after about a night, but our one lasts for over 4 days with bout 5 hours use a day. One down side is when you push the buttons to increase or lower volume it makes a click noise and if your little one is VERY sensitive to noise, they may wake up.
