This Status extension reel will turn one plug socket into 4 upto a 5meter length. . .I've been using this for over a year now with no problems at all. The thermal cut off switch works perfectly and can be reset after allowing the reel to cool down.I have noticed another review with a photo of the wires showing - I have checked mine and it is absolutely okay with the wires fully attached and the reel itself is in good condition after a year of being used on a daily basis.This multi point extension reel is well built from plastic and holds four plug sockets. So if you need more plug sockets you can plug this into one and then have four!Important to note is that the maximum load that this can take -Whilst still wound into the reel= 5Amps 1200 WattsWhen fully unwound out of its reel = 13Amps 3120WIt has a thermal cut out but be mindful to not overload it with power anyway! If you plug appliances into this that add up to more than 1200W wound and 3120 unwound it could blow!Its being used in our house for when I need an extension from a power point in my shed on lawnmowers and outdoor lights - pond pumps - speakers for bbq's etc . . .I wouldn't have something like a washing machine and dryer going off this at the same time just to be on the safe side as it would be just too much for it to cope with.
