This item was delivered boxed and in perfect condition at 0800 this date having been only ordered the previous day. In relation to the item having used it today, I can say that it is excellent. Light to handle and a joy to use. If you get the chance to buy this model I can say you will have no problems. I would recommend Amazon for their amount of choice and quality items.

As a Makita fan for diy I've been looking at their power saws for sometime. I noticed that the price on this model had reduced substantially from earlier in the year and so went fot it. Very glad I did. An excellent compact and lightweight saw with plenty of power for my purposes. Glides through sheet ply like a dream where the blower function really comes into its own. Much faster rotation and brake than my mitre saw but I will probably get used to that with practice. Overall a great little saw at a great price.

Not sure how i ever managed without one of these - sure, there are other brands but since I have three Makita batteries, it was a no brainer. So, not sure how it stacks up against other models or brands, but so far I cannot fault this tool as it has literally got me put of trouble a few times since I bought it. It's worth investing in a blade with higher teeth count (say, 60T) than the blade that comes with the saw (16T), if you want really fine cuts on sensitive or brittle material. A winner.
