They should not be in a dimmable circuit, being so caused two of mine to cease to function.

When it says warm white does that mean there like the old 40watt?

Warm white means exactly that the appearance takes on a more warmer look. You could say that it probably looks more like an old fashioned tungsten bulb. You could also say that the waroomm white is more like the colour from a sodium lamp rather than the cool colour from a neon lamp but it still does not actually look like light from a sodium lamp. If you are using in a room where you want a warmer look then this is the bulb but if you are using for say feature lighting then a cool bulb may be better.
