Very happy! Saved me so much money
This saved me so much money and works a dream. I almost took my GS Mini Taylor to be fitted with a pick-up then saw a YouTube video about the ES-Go which you can clip in yourself. It was so easy. Very happy with this.

'Taylor' made for the GS Mini guitar
This pick-up is 'Taylor' made for the guitar (forgive the pun)! A bit pricey (compared to some alternatives on the market, which however are generic) but this is offset by the fact that it is purpose built for the Taylor GS Mini acoustic guitar. It came with easy to follow instructions and was / is easy to fit for anybody, needing only a short time and very basic DIY skills, oh and a screwdriver. The unit fits easily (it sort of clips into a ready fitted slot under the fingerboard by the sound-hole) and kinda 'floats' away from the sound-hole and body. It is unobtrusive for players, even finger-pickers and sounds great.

If you have a mini get this
Nice pickup for the acoustic Taylor. The amp has to be loud though, but great sound all the same. Oh yes a doddle to install

Give your Mahogany GS Mini A Louder, Clearer Voice!
I was very excited to get this. I am 5'1" with a glove size of 6 so the small, but high quality, Taylor GS Minis appeal to me. I think I may be a GS Mini addict. I first bought the Koa Acoustic-electric model in June 2017, then in April 2018 the Acoustic-electric Spruce and Walnut and finally in July I decided to get the Mahogany and Sapele one with the clip for installing this sound hole pickup. I examined the proportion of 4 and 5 star reviews to all reviews and decided that enough people did like it so I took the chance and am glad I did. I have a totally electric Fender Frontman 10 W amp but also a Yamaha THR 5A and a little Honey Tone, which can both be plugged in to electric or be battery operated. The latter means completely avoiding the grounding issue that so many reviews complain about creating noise issues. (Another reviewer noted that other nearby electronic devices....computers, tables and cellphones....also created interference that disappeared when the items were removed. Try his suggestion.)Installation was a breeze! I had viewed Taylor's video of the process online while the pickup was on it's way, and my small Phillips head screwdriver was ready when I heard the box plop onto my stoop :-) . I loosened the strings on the instrument just enough for my small hand to reach inside and finish the install. I seriously doubt this took more than five minutes. I tuned the guitar, plugged it in to my amp and had a blast playing and singing Amos Lee's "Sweet Pea"!I hope that anyone who had unresolved grounding issues tries this pickup with a battery operated amp. If you don't already have one, pick up a Honey Tone amp right here on Amazon for $22 to $26 depending on the color. You will love it for playing at a campground or beach, or just your back yard and it may clear up the grounding issue.

I bought this to go into my GS Mini that I take on mission trips. It was very simple to install the unit. I followed the Taylor instructions closely (so I removed the strings - some say you don't have to, but I did). The whole process probably took less than 30 minutes including removing and reinstalling the strings. When I tried it out on my CARVIN AG100 acoustic guitar amp, the sound was very natural and the volume was good. I used it to play a song at a church that we ministered at in Cape Town, South Africa. It had a very sharp, clear sound through the amplifier (can't remember the brand, I think it was a Roland). I used it at my church the weekend that I returned from South Africa, and the tone was so clear that I couldn't tell that it was even on over everyone singing (I don't use a monitor - what was coming through the PA was exactly the same as what was coming from the sound hole). After service I tried it, and sure enough it had been on, but like the ES on my Taylor 355CE, it was not an acoustic sounding guitar, it was a purely amplified acoustic sound. I asked my wife after service also, and she said that it had been coming through the PA and it sounded great. I also like the fact that it doesn't affect the sound when I play unplugged. It is very unobtrusive and unnoticeable sitting inside the sound hole. That was very important to me since I knew that I would probably be playing it more unplugged than plugged in. BUT IT'S THERE WHEN I NEED IT! It's another great Taylor product. The shipping from the company on Amazon.com was free when I ordered it and it came in less time than I was expecting it. I thoroughly recommend the ES-GO and Amazon.com!
