A bit fiddly to get the blade in but after that, it works brilliantly. The blade is very sharpe, easy to handle and excellent a cutting through wood! Would highly recommend this. I did read reviews with some saying they had to return, try it for yourself before deciding.

Love my electric handsaw. I'm not good at diy or gardening, but this tool helped me cut down my very overgrown hedge, and made the job so much easier. I couldn't have done it without it. It's light enough to be able to handle easily but powerful enough to be effective.

Came with poor instructions so I had to look up videos online until I eventually found one that showed me how to attach the blade. Once attached, saw worked well and cut through wooden bed slats and legs with ease.

Purchased for the purpose of trimming back trees, cutting pressure treated 4"x1" feather edge boards and also 4" posts and did the job perfectly. In the box comes the unit plus three interchangeable blades which are a breeze to change whenever you see fit. The unit is constructed with a solid feel to it and over the course of the week this had been dropped from ladders, swung up onto tree branches and generally abused and still works fine now. The lead is long enough to do the job if working on a workbench or body height bushes and trees but anything more and you'll need an extension lead and something to support it on as trying to use the saw whilst also supporting and extension reel is quite hard work. The saw cuts very easily however i wouldn't say it was quick. Its obviously a lot faster that by hand but isn't better than say a chain saw. However, this can get right into the bushes and trees to cut the branches where you want even one handed, a chain saw might be a bit dangerous and heavy for this purpose. I don't normally see Black & Decker as a good brand anymore. Their products definitely have gone down over the years but this saw is an excellent example of them producing a tool that is versatile but still well built. The only thing to note is this: It vibrates a lot! And i mean i work with my hands all day every day and even i had the beginnings of a blister between my thumb and finger. My advice would be to wear some gloves whilst using this from the start and you'll be fine.

After struggling to fit a blade due to the instructions being rubbish, I checked a YouTube video and within seconds had the blade clicked into place. So easy when you know how! Used it to saw through logs into manageable pieces to burn in a wood stove. Don't expect it to slide through hardwood in seconds like butter—I found it took a few minutes for an average 4-inch log. For thicker ones—about 6 or 7 inches—it took about 10 mins to get through. That's still way, way faster than I can do manually (wimp that I am), and of course with practically no physical effort. It's also fairly light, suitable for men and women alike, I'm sure. Note: some reviews appear to be for a battery-powered version. This review is for a mains powered unit. I doubt a lithium battery would have lasted 5 minutes sawing through thick hardwood; it takes some serious energy. This review is on day one, so we'll see how it lasts. If things go south I'll come back with an update, but for now I'm delighted with what I got for forty-five quid.

Missing blades on an open box . Clearly been returned before. I don’t mind that because this is a quality saw and a good deal . It was working fine so I did not opt for replacement . But theres no product support to order the missing parts . Only an option to replace. However we would recommend the saw . Perfect for cutting small logs . Fortunately I ordered blades on top of the saw so we carry on with it .

I was worried that I might find the blades difficult to fit, but if you follow the video on Amazon, it's actually very straightforward. The saw is not the most powerful, but it did the job I wanted it for, which was to cut a block of wood. If you want a more powerful saw, you should expect to pay a lot more than £45.

El enchufe que incorpora no es el europeo sino americano pero tengo en casa adaptador así que no hubo problema. La herramienta es de muy fácil uso y ha superado incluso mis expectativas. He podido realizar todo el trabajo en el tiempo que me había marcado, sin ningún tipo de contratiempo.

A mio avviso ottimo attrezzo per tagli veloci e piu' precisi rispetto ad un segaccio a mano

Worst product I ever bought. Very badly designed, awkward to use, too much vibration, and doesn’t cut well at all. My ancient handsaw cuts faster and smoother. I’ve had B&D tools for years, and all were satisfactory until now.
