YAMASAN KYOTO UJI Yuzu Mochi Candy - Yuzu Citrus Japanese Candy - Japanese Sweets with Aromatic Flavor of Kito Yuzu and Plant-Based Kanten Agar(300g)

As other reviewers have noted, this is not really mochi. It is more yokan like in texture, though not as dense as a traditional yokan. (think dense room temp jello as an approximation; softer to bite and less chewy than most gummy candy). The Yuzu flavor is true. It is not overwhelmingly sweet. I liked it.

This is not as sweet and flavorful as I expected, but I still find the subtle taste enjoyable. It’s not as chewy as a gummy bear and doesn’t stick to teeth like other gummy’s. Great size for a guilty pleasure and kids may enjoy this as a treat.

To say the least, it's not my favorite yuzu candy. The bag is a little big so there's a lot them for me to go through. The texture is great as a gummy with it being soft, squishy, quite firm, and in the shape of a cube. Though, the taste of it is very sweet but a little heavy on the yuzu peel oil which makes it taste like a yuzu perfume. It would've been a lot better if it were made with the yuzu juice to balance it out. Since it's unfortunately not made with yuzu juice, I most likely will not be buying it again. I'd actually give this 2.5 out of 5 stars because I like it but not enough to love it.

The flavor of this yuzu mochi was good, but the texture was very odd. It does not feel or taste like mochi; it does not contain rice flour. It is very different. The seller shipped it quickly and it arrived in excellent condition, but unfortunately I do not recommend this product.

I am studying Chado/sado in the US with a sensei from the Urasenke school, and as part of tea lessons we use sweets to mimic the tea ceremony when done with a guest. These are wonderful fall/winter sweets to have with koicha and usucha matcha. Individually packaged means they can be used each week for practice and not go bad. They are the perfect size to be eaten alone or combined with another type of sweet. I wish they came in more flavors! I wish there were chestnut flavors!

This is NOT mochi as I've known all my life! It is a sticky sweet treat that is okay but NOTHING like the soft pillowy sweet rice with a tasty filling. I expected a yuzu flavored center, but it was just a jelly like candy with some yuzu flavor. The sugar coating was unexpected also. 😞

These are delicious! They smell like citrus peel though. They taste good though! They certainly taste like citrus peel. But I like it.
