Great gate catch.Snaps shut, great for safety so my dog can’t get out and no need to lock it until I’m ready.

Robust piece of metal, although the screws seem a bit flimsy. Easy to fit if you can picture how the two pieces are supposed to interact with each other. Doesn't have rubber wheels so it's a bit noisy. Works every time: push the gate open, push it closed, it's never left swinging loose and there is no fiddling with catches or snecks.

Can't vouch for the quality but it's doing the job well with no sign of failure !

This is the only automatic gate latch I could find. It works well and does the job. But the spring is too weak and the gate kept blowing open. I solved it by buying magnetic catches which hold the door closed. They were fiddly to adjust but are working fine now. A stronger spring would make all the difference.

The best quality gate latch you can buy, l have fitted several in the past if fitted correctly it also works as a lock.Comes with instructions but if unsure my advice is get it fitted by a professional to get the best from it.

Getting fed up with postman not knowing how to shut the gate behind him so fitted a spring and this latch to the garden gate. Fitting was easy, put the latch on the post first, as close to the gate as you can but not too close that the gate hits the latch in the open position when closing. Then fit the plate making sure it clears the first roller and strikes the second to close shut. I used my own screws as suggested which were a bit longer. Some people have said they had issues with the wind blowing the gate open, it's been pretty windy here the last 24 hours and have had no issue with this.
