I was disappointed by this as I had wanted to be able to use it up to the maximum distances claimed but found it was impossible to do so. I found it difficult to see the laser over about 15m and impossible from 25m even when I tried it on a large white board - impossible with the small white reflector included with it. Even when I practised over short distances I found it impossible to keep the laser still enough when hand held to take the reading and deep the laser dot on the target. So if one is needing to use it very precisely outside I have found it just isn't possible. My son experimented with it as I thought I might just be incompetent, but he agreed that seeing the laser point and positioning it over long distances was nigh on impossible, except he discovered the reflective surface of road signs worked very well (at 40m - didn't check to see if it work at the claimed 100m). He suggested I steal a 30mph sign; I declined! He has since used it in his building work and has found it works well over shorter distances and with a means of keeping it firmly positioned (against a wall/ on a floor etc) and he will no doubt be using it again when the need arises. For my need of measuring distances accurately outdoors from one point to another I have reverted to a 50m tape.

Product arrived faster than expected, however it was in a damaged box, no batteries (stated that they would be included) and dirty with finger prints all over it. It had obviously been used. Aside from the fact that I was expecting something NEW, receiving a very dirty product during a global pandemic is beyond irresponsible.Luckily, it works fine and is very easy to use. Appears accurate and is appropriate for simple survey, which is what I bought it for. Product=good; supplier=dreadful.

The product is perfect for the use I want. However in the description was saying that the batteries were included in the package which was not the case. The package had an empty space, probably for the batteries which were missing. Other than that great value for money.

I bought this to check sizes of rooms when we were house hunting. it is great provided you take care with position and check where the laser is measuring. Hopeless outside when it is bright. I wouldn't rely on some of the longer measurements which are quite difficult to record (like length of a patio). Useful as a quick survey tool.

I bought this to measure up a flat we are moving to. It works brilliantly, seems to be very accurate, is easy to use, and you can save all the measurements to check later! Just make sure you come out of save mode before turning off, otherwise you splat all the records! I learnt the hard way! I am delighted with this unit. The guy who did the floorplan for the house we are selling paid £80 for his and it did not seem any better!

I bought the 40m distance measurement one. It appears quite accurate and has option for front face or rear face measurement. For those needing the more advanced features such as Pythagoras height measurement, area and volume then this device accommodates those as well.Works in sunlight, just need to have a white piece of paper at the measurement point so you can see the target point.powered by 2AA batteries it is light and compact and comes with a belt hoop nylon carry case

Perfect little bit of kit! Very simple to use!Ideal for if you’re working alone and/or don’t have a tape long enough.

Managed to change the decimal point and took ages to find out how to change it back, I had to get the instructions out in the end, so not very intuitive. Other than that, it works fine.
