Water from a tap is usually fine in a sealed container for up to three days before a bacteria bloom starts.

is it compatible with alexa+smart plug? E.g it makes the water hot when I ask alexa to while being in bed and not touching any buttons of the kettle?

Yes. I use it exactly that way with a Kasa smart plug. Obviously you have water in it, put the mug and tea bag in place, switch the power off and push the on button before you go to bed … Then you can switch it on from upstairs and have your tea ready and waiting for you by the time you get down stairs.

would you be able to fill a teapot with this?

Only if it was not a pot-bellied style of teapot. There is only 22mm space between the nozzle and the water-tank so the edge of the opening in the teapot would have to be less than 22mm from the widest part of the teapot, to prevent the water missing the hole. To check, stand your teapot flat against a wall and measure the distance from the wall to the filling hole. If it's more than 20mm, it won't work.
