Hasbro 33596848 - Nerf Super Soaker Bottle Blitz - Multicolour

I bought this after doing a lot of research as I was instructed to find the best water pistol for a water fight on hot summers day, one that could dominate (soak) the competition. For those of you who can't be bothered to read the rest of the review: This is it!It is quite brilliant and if you are in the market, there really is no need to look any further, The pump action is easy on the arm muscles and provides excellent range. The stream is going to soak anything that it lands on.I have seen other reviewers say that it is ideal for chasing unwanted animals away and having seen this in use, I can fully understand its appeal on that front. If you turn up with this under your arm, you are unlikely to come off second best. Apart from being well made, the thing that sets this apart from the competition is that you can detach the little black bottle that it comes with and attach a 2 litre coke bottle. This gives it an enormous capacity that enables the user to keep pumping water whilst the competition are filling up at the tapIt has now had several weeks use and is still in perfect condition.Pros: Massive capacity, great range, strong stream, easy to use, few moving parts.Cons: Only if you are standing on the receiving end, rather than having had the good sense to buy one of these

I bought this to deter the local cats from the garden. To fire it you have to extend the barrel and then pull it sharply backwards. If you pull sharply enough the gun has a good range and holds enough water for four or five squirts - enough to see any cat off the property. To refill you unscrew the water reservoir from the gun, fill it and screw it back on again. This is where the problem lies. The plastic screw-thread joining the water reservoir to the gun is very thin and not nearly sturdy enough for purpose. It's also far too easy to screw the reservoir back on crookedly. As a result, after only a couple of refills the thread became distorted and cracked, causing the water to leak from the joint every time I fired. If, like me, you're firing out of a window from indoors, this is inconvenient. No doubt it was my fault for trying to tighten the reservoir too tightly - but if you don't it leaks anyway, so what's the remedy? And how are kids going to treat it? A more sturdy thread would make this product more resilient and better value all round.Edit: I solved the problem of the leaking water reservoir by replacing it with a used 500ml bottle of Fever-tree mixer. The bottle is way too big, but the thread is identical, so it solved the leakage problem. Kids would want a less cumbersome bottle, but there may be one out there with the right thread.

The product states you can squirt it up to 7.5m. This is simply not possible in my experience and as many other reviewers have stated the max appears to be around 5m on a good day. I am a big guy, and even when giving it the full beans I can't get past 5m, and I suspect I know why. When you load, it only takes a small amount of water on board and the distance you pull is not a great deal either, this means you have little volume for of water and little distance in order to build pressure. This means you cannot build enough pressure for the distance mentioned and no-one will ever be likely to get beyond 5m.That said, it is good, but the stream seems a little diffused on mine and isn't as strong a stream as I'd hoped for. Being able to put pop bottles on the gun means you always have a ready supply of ammo and it certainly scared the cats away.If this is bought for a water fight you might be onto a loser here though as the constant need to pull and squeeze to fire means you'll be vulnerable and the gun doesn't fire a large quantity of water either. However, having bottles on standby could see you make a good comeback when other have run out.It is good, but if you could pull and squeeze the trigger a greater distance this gun would be great.

This product is EXACTLY what I wanted to discourage those miserable cats from trespassing in my front and rear gardens. I have two cats, but they are always supervised when they are outside, and are only in my backgarden, which is closed in. However, neighbouring cats use both gardens as a cut-through.This gun makes me feel like that Chuck guy with the shotguns in the westerns. It works a treat. At 10:45 at night two days after I got the gun I heard the nesting blackbirds making a terrific noise. I grabbed the gun and got out there to see a strange cat running from the scene. He proceeded to perch on the top of my garage gates. I ZAPPED him with the gun; he looked totally shocked and couldn't get out of there fast enough. I went back, got a torch, found a fledging blackbird unhurt in the grass below the shrub with the next. I put him back into the shrub. The next morning the parents were going in and out of the shrub in a different place from usual, and the morning after that, the little one was flying. The gun had virtually saved his life.I doubt it would go 18 feet, but will pretty much do 15 feet with a good prime and strong action on the pump part. Just hope it is durable. I've attached a half-litre water bottle to it as I didn't get too many squirts from the small bottle that comes with it. Love this product!

I bought 2 of these because I wanted decent water pistols for my sons to use but didn't want anything battery-powered (why oh why should a water-pistol be battery powered?). They arrived in good time and they've got a good range and water pressure, though the water reservoir doesn't hold much which means it runs out quickly given the amount it fires. We managed to find a drink bottle which was compatible with the connector (it took a few goes) which increased the capacity substantially and worked reasonably well, though the bottle collapsed as the water was shot out which looked a little odd. So, not too bad for the money but then.... after only a day's use, one of the guns has completely jammed and is useless. I now have one very unhappy small child whose prized new toy has broken. Not good enough.

Acheté en double pour mon fils et son copain. Ils en sont ravis ! Perso, je trouve que souvent, les Nerf à eau ont des réserves qui ne sont pas adaptées à la puissance de tir. Du coup, les gamins passent plus de temps à les remplir qu'à tirer (et à mettre de l'eau partout dans la maison). Sur celui ci, on peut visser une bouteille d'1.5 litres ou 2 litres d'eau, coca ou similaire (tant que le goulot s'adapte), voire même ne rien mettre quand dans la piscine (en laissant le tuyau tremper dans l'eau). Système de tir rapide et facile. Du coup, on a fait des vraies et longues batailles ! En plus, en enlevant sa réserve d'origine, il ne prend pas de place et on peut l'emmener en vacances. Système simple mais efficace. Et prix très raisonnable. Je recommande !

Hallo liebe Community,ich muss ebenfalls als mitzwanziger und fertig studierter Maschinenbau-Ingenieur sagen, dass ich nicht gedacht hätte mir jemals wieder eine Wasserspritzpistole zu kaufen. Allerdings hat mich eine vorherige Bewertung, sowie die Tatsache, Kindheitserinnerungen aufleben zu lassen, so überzeugt, dass ich mir gleich zwei Exemplare der Bottle Blitz bestellt habe.Zunächst muss ich sagen, dass ich anfangs etwas enttäuscht war, als ich ein sehr kleines Paket erhalten habe. Jedoch hat sich dieser Eindruck nach wenigen Sekunden im Einsatz wie in Luft aufgelöst. Die Bottle Blitz ist sehr handlich gebaut und durch ihr universelles Gewinde mit vielen Flaschen aufladbar. Die PET Flaschen lassen sich mühelos anbringen und das verschrauben sollte selbst von Kindern ausgeführt werden können. Allerdings ist vom Gebrauch von zu großen und schweren Flaschen abzuraten, da sonst die Streckgrenze des Gewindes überschritten wird und die Flaschen abknicken.Der Wasserstrahl ist sehr präzise und druckvoll. Die Spritzweite ist ebenfalls als ordentlich zu beschreiben und wesentlich größer als ich erwartet habe.Fazit:Alles in allem ist die Bottle Blitz ein sehr handliches und günstiges Modell, welches sich optimal für Wasserschlachten eignet!Ich selbst hatte sehr viel Freude mit dem Gerät und kann keine negativen Punkte finden.Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist optimal und die sehr positiven Bewertungen sind absolut gerechtfertigt!!
