If you want a good cast iron pan this is not for you. The cooking surface is far too rough - a good cast iron pan should let you fry an egg as if it was teflon and this certainly won't do that.That said - I don't need to fry eggs in a cast iron pan - I have teflon pans to do that in - I wanted a big heavy bottomed cast iron pan for things like finishing a steak, searing liver, even getting crispy tofu - when you want to get a pan really hot and know that it is heavy enough to stay hot when you put the food in to cook.By cast iron standards this pan is cheap and I'm pretty happy with it, just be aware that it is pretty heavily textured and this compromises the non stick.

Great pan, did a bit of research about how to live with a cast iron pan and love it! I was a little nervous about eggs sticking but it’s amazing. Whatever you’re cooking, toss it in, enjoy the sizzle, wait for it to release and turn. I bought it primarily for searing steak, but now just use it for everything, wash in hot water, spray with oil, place back on stove ready for the next meal.

I search for 2 days for a cast iron skillet, and read so many reviews. All said surfaces are not flat except this Natural cookware. So I decided to give a try.I am really pleased as it is flat enough to make pancakes.The skillet surface is very rough, I used sandpaper to smooth the inside, however if you pull the pan on your ceramic hob, it will make bad marks on your hob, so I sanded outside as well. I used one 60 grits sandpaper for inside and 80 grits for outside (both 60 grits will be fine) to finish all over.I used olive oil to cover inside and outside all over and put in the oven for an hour on 230 C°, then I fried a pancake which did not stick except the middle a pence big area.Today I did make 5 Chinese crepes, non of them sticked on and they are very crispy. I am really pleased with my purchase.The sanding job was just over half an hour, seasoning job was an hour. So it is a 2 hours job including tidying up.The reason to give 4 stars as it made some marks on my hob while I sanded inside when I have not realized this rough metal could damage the delicate ceramic surface. So be careful, lift it up, not pull.

This skillet is perfect, just what I wanted.Perfect large size. Heavy duty & thick - great quality. And a bargain price for such a top notch item.I’ve had great success cooking with it too - goes from hob into oven for great meat dishes - sealed and coloured outsides without being overlooked inside.Also great for deglazing & cooking up fantastic gravies & sauces.Am absolutely delighted with this pan.Easy to clean - I use hot water & a metal chain mail type skillet scourer - dry it, heat it and apply skillet oil.

This has transformed every meal. Everyone is happier since we bought the pan. Pancakes, omelette, steaks, fish, it cooks it all to an amazing deliciousness. I'm actually angry I didn't buy it sooner. Buy it now before you regret it for the rest of your life. Damn I wish I'd bought one sooner.

Great value and a perfect size. The handle is short and therefore allows the pan to fit inside the oven to finish off some recipes (which was important for me). Used may times since I bought it. And don't be worried about the finish as they need minimum care. A wash, dry and then a wipe with some cooking oil is all it needs.

This is latest addition to my cast iron cookware some of which I've had for several decades. This looks well made, solid and well designed. Heavy so requires a bit of strength. Very pleased with it.

Arrived quickly, in constant use. Worth the price paid.
