What is the diameter of the brush? This is for styling for very short woman's hair.

Across top of brush is 3.5cm. I have very short hair on sides and top about 2inches max. I finger dry top and use the brush on fringe and neck, occasionally on top too. Brilliant little brush best I’ve bought might buy another in case they stop selling them. I’ve wasted so much money in shops on them so delighted an internet buy was so good. Hope this helps.

Are the bristles quite sharp/hard on the scalp?

I'd say the red tips are razor sharp. After one pass I wouldn't let this brush near my hair or beard again and the brush went straight in the bin. Not the usual quality uppercut product, seems to be a rip off overpriced copy.. My 99p shop brush is better than this.

can this be used for blow drying for mens

Yes, they are pricey but very good.

How does it compare to the Denman D73?

Can't compare unfortunately but I can highly recommend this brush. I use it every day. It grips the hair when rolled very easily and has now replaced my Denman vent brush for daily use.
