It is smaller and definitely would be perfect for a child but with a little creativity u can sew it to the shoulders of whatever u need and it would work for an adult. Or if u have a small neck. It works I probably wouldnt buy again knowing how it fits now. But good for halloween and I can give to my two boys once I'm done with it!

I ordered this as part of a Halloween costume. The description said that it was for adults. When I got it, the velcro did not even come close to reaching around my neck. I don't have an unusually large neck, and I felt like this should have fit in the next. The length was just right and it was lightweight like I needed. I ended up removing the velcro and replacing it with double-folded bias tape that I stitched far enough beyond the edges of the cape that I could tie it into a bow to keep the cape on. If you're not ready to make some adjustments to make the cape work for you, you may want to consider a different one. If you're buying this for a child to wear, it will probably be OK.

This cape is clearly meant for kids only, as the velcro will not go around an adult's neck. If you don't already have the supplies on hand, you'll have to spend more money to make this cape work than the cape itself costs. The rest of the cape seems fine, but if you can't attach it to your neck, it's worthless... which is why I'm giving it 1 star.

Mine came with a huge hole at the collar because the seam was not sewn at all. I will have to sew it myself.
